10/10 for value

I wanted to leave a review as what I am reading on other reviews did not reflect my experience. I found the check in process really easy, room was lovely and clean. It was a really warm day and they had already provided a fan within the room which was nice. The deposit scheme should be highlighted on booking.com website as I wasn’t aware of that however, i didn’t have a problem transferring it as I appreciate they need to take it incase we did disrespect the apartment. I transferred the £100 and had it back within the 48 hours that they stated (minus their service charge, which they had already told me within an email). I would definitely stay here again. The apartment exceeded my expectations for what I paid!

Deceptive, Dishonest and Dirty

Deceptive, Dishonest and Dirty. 0/5 stars, honestly. Check out the quality of their replies to bad reviews on here, it's like they're written by a 14 yr old child and not a reputable business. Also watch out for their fake 5/5 reviews, one written by S K (on Google reviews), (hello, Sky City ). They will make up reasons to steal your £100 forced (they will not divulge the code of the lock box until you transfer them £100) deposit (dirty sheets, excess rubbish, even excess noise, reasons a normal apartment rental would assume under the booking fee alone and not charge extra for), which they force you to pay or they prevent you from checking in. They AUTOMATICALLY deduct £3 for the hardship of receiving your deposit, then will take another £7 if you do not message them your bank details through booking/Expedia app messaging. No mention of this beforehand. Sink is tiny, built for tiny people, water sprays everywhere. The finish on all of the switches and fixtures is appalling, looks like they hired the family as labourers. Noise is perpetual throughout, due to thin walls and close proximity to car park and main road. TV is on a stupid tiny bracket so you can't watch TV from bed without having a quarter of the TV cut off by the useless Micro-wardrobe. Childish staff man the WhatsApp helplines, and give sarcastic responses to questions they don't want to answer. This is not a business, this is a school and the people that run it are the BULLIES. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Be very cautious booking this property - especially paying a deposit

Be very careful when booking.
The apartment itself was cleanish, but smelled badly of indian food and was very small and uncomfortable. We left it clean and tidy. Sky City Apartments have confirmed that no damage whatsoever was caused during our stay.
Despite this, they retained our £100 damage deposit in full because four people stayed in an apartment with a stated maximum occupancy of two. I accept that this breached their occupancy policy, but I do not believe retaining the entirety of a damage deposit where no damage occurred is a fair or proportionate outcome.
I have asked the company to explain what actual financial loss they suffered and how retaining the full deposit complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires consumer contract terms to be fair. At the time of writing, this matter remains in dispute.
Before booking, I would strongly recommend reading the terms and conditions very carefully, particularly those relating to deposits and occupancy.
If you believe your deposit has also been unfairly retained, you may wish to seek advice from the Citizens Advice Consumer Service, who can refer concerns about potentially unfair consumer contract terms to Trading Standards. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives consumers protections against unfair contract terms, and it is worth understanding your rights before simply accepting the loss of your deposit.
I hope the company will reconsider its position, but until then I cannot recommend staying here.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! They take hidden fees from a deposit that you have to pay to get a key! Then take hidden fees from it!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! AVOID!!
There are hidden fees! Customer service is terrible. No communication, rooms are not worth the hassle of having money taken from you!
Book somewhere else with no hidden fees.
They make you pay a £100 deposit before giving you a key. You then have to chase and chase to get that deposit back and when you do get it back they deduct fees for sending it back to you and for the key!!!
The rooms are not worth the hassle.
Book somewhere where you know what you are getting!

Having emailed Sky City Apartments about the possibility of cancelling my booking they did not reply.
They then didn’t provide me with details of my Appartment number or Pockit Pass key code so couldn’t use the room.
I’ve been charged and they still haven’t replied to the all the messages I have sent.
Poor service.
