Excellent stay as always

Stayed here a few times. Rooms are very clean and the parking is free and plenty of it. Good Indian right next door and other food places not too far away. The staff are always super friendly especially Nat the manager. The biggest plus though for me is Boris the resident cat .

Unsafe and Uncomfortable Stay

I stayed at this Travelodge recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I’m familiar with the brand and understand it’s a budget hotel, so my expectations are always realistic — clean room, basic courtesy, and a quiet night’s sleep. Sadly, this location didn’t meet even those fundamentals.
The only positive part of the stay was the receptionist at check‑in, who was friendly and helpful. After that, everything went downhill.
Our room had a very strong smell of stale smoke and body odour from the moment we walked in. We opened the windows, but the smell didn’t improve at all, which made the room feel unpleasant throughout the stay.
We put the “please top up” sign on our door on Saturday to request fresh towels and more tea/coffee, but this was ignored completely.
Customer service was also inconsistent. Two different receptionists didn’t acknowledge us when we greeted them, which left the place feeling unfriendly and unwelcoming.
The worst part of the stay was the second night. At around 5am, we were woken by extremely loud stomping, door slamming, screaming, and what sounded like items being thrown in the room above us. The argument escalated to the point where it felt unsafe. After about 30 minutes, we went to reception because we were genuinely concerned. The response was very dismissive, and although someone went to knock on the door, nothing changed. The disturbance continued until around 9:30am. We weren’t offered a different room, nor did it seem like the situation was monitored.
Because of this, we didn’t sleep at all on our second night, and the whole experience left us feeling uncomfortable and let down.
Overall, this stay fell far below the basic standard I’ve had at other Travelodge locations. I wouldn’t return to this particular hotel, and I hope management takes steps to improve cleanliness, customer service, and how serious disturbances are handled.

Nice hotel, room could’ve been cleaner

We stayed at this hotel for one night and we did have a nice stay. It was really quiet, beds were comfortable. The lady who checked us in was also really friendly. The only issue was the cleanliness of certain parts of the room, there was rubbish left next to the bin from the previous guest and the kettle was thick with dust.

Excellent stay

We stayed here for a return visit and had a lovely nights stay. There is a caravan site behind who were audible at times but the hotel cannot be held responsible for this and they had forewarned us too. The resident cat Boris is a wonderful addition and just was the icing on the cake! We had a lovely comfortable sleep with lovely additions such as the book shelf with kids books to borrow. I loved how the staff have made a real effort with the outside with lovely hanging baskets, some simple landscaping and some seating outside.

Incorrect photo of bathroom

If you have accessibility problems please note that the website shows rooms with walk in showers. This is not true, the photos are wrong as the showers are over a bath.
We made 3 bookings and found that when we arrived on our first visit that we were mislead.
So we tried to amend our booking to Kidderminster and were told they would charge us £12.50 a day. We have a further 7 days booked. As my wife is disabled she cannot climb into a bath and standup under the shower.
So please be aware that the website photo of the bathroom is incorrect but they will not admit it.
