Delicious

This hotel is under new management and we thought we’d check it out. The food was delicious just as before. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The hotel staff are lovely and the surroundings are just as they were, so not too many changes. Keep on doing what you’re doing. Good luck!

Not at all what it was....

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past hence booked without checking recent reviews...
There is a marked change with the new owners. It has changed from a warm & friendly local hub with great food to the opposite.
The night I stayed it was empty when you used to have booked for a table. When I arrived in the bar there were three members of staff around a table with the chef sitting sideways with his bare feet dangling over the edge of the chair. Not what you would expect in any sort of professional establishment. A small child was also wandering about.
I asked to cancel a room I had booked for the Sunday ( I was staying on the Friday) they were non comital and then I saw took my money anyway. Flexibility is always a way to build customer loyalty.
I am sorry to write such a negative review but needs must.

Awful Experience

Really dissatisfied with our experience, food was mediocre at best, flys everywhere, to the point they were landing on your food as you were trying to eat, barman/waiter asked are they bothering you?? Well yes actually!! Waited 60 mins to receive our meal and 20 minutes for drinks even though there where only 4 of us in there.
Menu leading heavily to Indian cuisine.
Paper menus heavily stained with food and water, I never leave a review but honestly if your thinking of going..Don't! No atmosphere whatsoever so ever. Just all round awful.

Perfect position

This hotel was perfectly positioned for walking Hadrians wall. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom had a lovely big bath to soak those tired muscles!

All good

All Good - booked via WalkTheWall . Bar was a bit boisterous early , but quietened down when food was served . Very pleased - thank-you
