Frondirion

Frondirion is a 4-star bed and breakfast located in the Snowdonia National Park, just a 10-minute drive from Herlech Train Station. The property is less than 15 minutes walk from 2 sandy beaches. There is free WiFi access available and free parking. Each room here will provide you with tea/coffee making facilities. Both the twin and the double room have sea views overlooking Cardigan Bay and an en-suite bathroom. Each morning Frondirion serves a full Welsh breakfast made using locally sourced ingredients. The cooked breakfast is accompanied by homemade bread and preserves. Special diets and evening meals are available on request. Other facilities and services include a comfortable guest lounge with a log burning stove and a TV with Freeview channels and a selection of DVDs. There are several country walking routes in the immediate area and Porthmadog is just 11 miles away. One of my favourite places to stay.

We visited for the third time in June over the past couple of years, and we’re going back in September. Nothing compares to the warm welcome you’ll get from Beth and Mike. Also breakfast is second to none. It’s in such a beautiful surroundings too.
I can’t recommend this place enough of what you’re looking for is a nice relaxing stay.

The best B&B we've ever stayed in!

Our second stay here and still left wanting to go back for more. The breakfast is amazing, couldn't wait to get up for it! Bethan and Mike are the most wonderful, hosts you could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble and they seem to know everything you'd want to know about in the surrounding areas. The rooms are beautiful, spotless and so comfy, with views of the sea and countryside that steal your heart.

Warm and welcoming

My friend and I stayed in the twin ensuite for three nights this week. This is our third visit and every time we enjoy as much as the first. From the home cooking to the stroll into harlech town we love it. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Long weekend in Bae Ceredigion

This has to be one of the better establishments I have visited in my solo traveller adventures around the UK. The location is very tranquil and peaceful. There are trains and buses infrequently but it is still accessible by public transport if timed properly. Short walk to one of the most idyllic beach spots in Britain. Also a short walk to Harlech Castle and a train ride from Snowdonia National Park & Llŷn. The hosts are lovely and friendly and very helpful and generous. I am not surprised this establishment has 97% of it’s reviews get top marks. Prices are very good, cannot fault. My room had an external private bathroom which was very clean and very private. No TV but I don’t care much for TV in outside accommodation, not because I never watch it but because I watch too much and the limit of 10 channels in an ordinary TV just isn’t enough so I carry my smart phone about with all the apps in it. Breakfast was enormous and I was always full to bursting before I went out and this bearing in mind I am a woman on the larger side of medium. This was in stark contrast to the previous hotel I stayed in which had no breakfast and I ended up eating a load of junk foods. I will definitely be pinning their card to my notice board and going back. I just hope they don’t pack up or retire before I get back like the last B&B I took a great liking to. Or they don’t dislike me and block my booking.

Lovely people

We have just had a lovely weekend here, Beth and Mike were most welcoming and the little extras added to the stay ( home baked cookies) its about 25 min walk into Harlech, the hill back is daunting though, The B&B was comfortable and homely, the rooms warm and the view nice. We unfortunately had horrendous weather which limited our sightseeing. there is parking and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We were given on departure some homemade Bara Brith to bring home. Would recommend Frondirion as a base to tour the surrounding areas .
