Fantastic Hotel
We stayed for one night in this wonderful hotel. The location isnperfect for exploring the area, with plenty of parking on site. The warm welcome was fantastic and the overall service first class. The rooms have everything you need and are well appointed. We did not eat in the restaurant as we had other plans, but it looked amazing. This is agreat place for a short break.

Wipe your feet on the way out!
I don’t take pleasure in writing a review criticising an establishment but sadly this warrants it. Don’t be fooled by the promotional photos featured on Booking.com as they are either well staged or library pictures. The room was dirty; had ill fitting netting and curtains, stains on the carpet, mould in the bathroom and a dirty toilet. Furthermore the mattress was more like a small camp bed, the walls were paper thin and the smell of cooking was overwhelming. Needless to say we left and found a five star improvement at Wokefield Estate near Reading for less than the cost of this place.

Overall about a 3 star stay. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the room I stayed in (in one of the annex buildings) was dated and felt unclean. There was black mold in the bathroom and the doors either jammed on closing or slammed so loud you were woken up in the night. The main building might be different.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. I especially enjoyed the excellent service and delicious food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
