Lovely welcoming B&B

Booked direct and the hosts Bill & Jill could not have been more welcoming or helpful. 3 night stay. Room (4) is light, airy, lovely views. Full bath with shower over. King size bed, very comfortable, if slightly too soft for us, just personal preference. Drink facilities plentiful. Breakfast most definitely worth getting up for.
Will be staying again, would recommend without hesitation.
Tip: put Plantation Avenue, Littletown in your Sat nav and you pull up outside, don't rely on postcode.

Excellent quality

We booked this hotel to stay in after being mucked about by Hallgarth Manor. We originally booked friday and Saturday then at the last minute decided to stay on the Thursday. We travelled all the way from Kent 5 hrs and were allowed to check in at midday. The room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. With a lovely en-suite and the complimentary toiletries were very nice. The complimentary tea making facilities were plentiful with a jug of fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge which was totally unexpected. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. The owners went above and beyond anything we have ever experienced at a hotel before.we had a fantastic stay and will definitely stay again. Neil & Sue

Beautiful in every way!

This is the most lovely bed and breakfast hotel. It's about 10-15 minutes out of Durham by car and set in a tranquil countryside setting. The rooms are beautiful with open views to fields. I stayed with my daughter in a family room, which was very spacious, with a comfy kingsize and single bed complete with an en-suite. The room features quirky decor and pretty fabrics, along with complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits and toiletries. The hostesses are lovely, very kind people and offered us advise on transport in and out of Durham and the best places to eat. Our breakfast was delicious, with an option sheet as you arrive, to ensure your breakfast is just as you like it. We spent one night here as we were looking at the University. We will be sure to stay here again! Thanks for making our stay so lovely.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at York House. The property was sparkling clean with super comfy beds, strong hot shower and had complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee and bottled water. Parking is no issue.
The home cooked English breakfast was outstanding and if that is not your thing there is cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit and croissants with condiments.
The hosts are lovely people and could not do enough for you.
Highly recommend. 10/10.

Excelent B&B

Stayed in family room. Enough room to play football. View of Durham Cathedral from bedroom window. Wonderful experience and will return. Close to both city and motorway. Proprietors very friendly. Breakfast very good. On suite bathroom.
