The perfect stopover for our trip from Cornwall to East Sussex. The food was good and the staff were great, the rooms were really nice, a great stay.

An exceptional stay.

Stayed overnight at short notice, although the kitchen was closed due to recent change of ownership we were looked after brilliantly by Penny and her team. The room was exceptional and we were made feel very welcome, the feeling from the locals was very positive for the future of the pub, we were served a continental breakfast which was of the highest standard. We look forward to returning later in the year to see the progress they will no doubt have made. Highly recommend.

New owner/manager is lovely and well organised and knows about looking after people. Im sure bar and visitor numbers will increase now. Wish her the best of luck on her new venture.

This is a fantastic and convenient venue in a beautiful village. We stayed there whilst visiting national trust properties and it was the perfect location for our needs. The staff were so welcoming and really made our stay perfect. The evening meal and continental breakfast was outstanding. A well furnished and warm room.A recommended place to stay.
