Gorgeous country getaway

My husband and I with our 10 month old son recently stayed at Woodstock Suits and wow!! Such a stunning location for walks, cute local pubs and close to Chichester for exploring. The suite itself was so cosy and well kitted out for making our own meals (essential for the little one) and had plenty of room for our travel cot. The water pressure was great and the water beautifully warm, great efficient heating (essential for us woozy Aussies haha) and super comfortable bed.
The host was really accommodating and friendly.
If you’re visiting this gorgeous part of England, I can’t recommend Woodstock Suites enough!

Lovely rooms but unhelpful owners

The room and location were lovely but when we arrived it was 14 degrees (inside) and no instructions how to turn heating on. Good to have kitchenette but again no instructions for combi oven/microwave. Left a couple of items behind and told it was not possible to send them (even though I would of paid) and I had to send a courier which was not feasible due to cost. Worked out a solution and called back 2 weeks later to arrange collection only to be told my items had been thrown away. No apology or courtesy email to warn me. Will not return due to this.

Awful

Room stank like a chemical portaloo, had to leave at dawn on first night felt so sick. Old cheap pillows and a dirty bath. Avoid.

Damp, expensive and in need of improvement

The Pump House at the Woodstock Suites is very damp and poorly ventilated, especially the bathroom. It was difficult to get rid of the thick condensation even with the windows open. We had to keep the door shut to prevent the damp smell overwhelming the rest of the space.
Although damp the property was detached and private, in reasonable decorative order with WIFI and a television. It would benefit from some new crokery which is a little dated and the bathroom could do with some hooks for towels.
There is parking on site and the area is reasonably quiet. We were only once disturbed by chainsaws early one morning.

Fabulous stay!

We had a fabulous 3 night stay here in August. The suites are set in lovely quiet countryside near Goodwood. We were in the Madgwick Suite which was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. The bedroom upstairs was light and sunny and had a nice leafy outlook. The twin beds were really comfortable and we relished the spotless and top quality linen. We slept so well and it was so nice and quiet. The whole suite has been renovated to a very high standard and I loved the bath, very welcome after a long days walk The owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us great suggestions on where to eat and things to do. The pub in the village does great food as does the pub in the nearby village of Singleton. We did some lovely walks and also spent a day at West Wittering beach which is only 20 minutes away. The whole area around there is beautiful and we only wish we’d had more time to explore. Can’t recommend highly enough and we hope to come back!
