Special wedding venue
We cannot recommend the Stanwick Hotel highly enough! We had our wedding there on the 13th of June and stayed from the Friday through to the Monday, and from start to finish the whole weekend was absolutely perfect.
The staff were truly outstanding. The support, care and attention they gave us throughout the entire weekend made it a celebration we’ll never forget. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
The food was absolutely delicious and everything was prepared and served perfectly on time. Our guests who stayed at the hotel all commented on how much they enjoyed their rooms and the fantastic breakfasts, and we’ve got to say the Sunday dinners are the best we’ve ever had!
So many of our guests told us that the venue was fantastic and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, which was wonderful to hear and is a real testament to the incredible team at Stanwick Hotel.
We honestly cannot thank everyone at Stanwick enough for making our wedding weekend so special and memorable. We already can’t wait to come back for future parties, family lunches and, of course, more amazing Sunday dinners!

Cancelled on us last minute
We booked this hotel nearly a year ago via booking.com to attend a wedding in the village, only to have our room cancelled 3 weeks before the event. When speaking to the hotel they tried to blame booking.com for over riding their systems! What actually happened was a wedding was booked in and they wanted the rooms for those guests, leaving us living over 3 hours away with no accommodation. We have since found out they also cancelled other people’s rooms that were attending a wedding in the village. Would not recommend at all when you’re treated like this. Abysmal service, avoid like the plague if you’d like a guaranteed room.

Food and venue is good but I wouldn’t expect them to uphold your booking as they cancel serval guest from my brothers wedding just because they got another booking wouldn’t trust them as far as you can throw them literally cancel peoples booking a week before to make more money

Shambolic
Whole experience was painful. Turned up to blaring music and a party/wedding on the lawn (ended at 10pm though so not too bad) and no one around to check us in, I had to queue at the bar for 15 mins to ask someone to come round and help.
The room itself was lovely with good air con during a heat wave. What wasn’t as lovely was the fact they messed up and gave another guest a key to our room which meant a strange man let himself into our bedroom at 11pm at night whilst we were asleep. The man was just as horrified as we were and I was awake for hours after with there being no other way to securely bolt our door, hoping no one else was going to rock up.
We complained in the morning and were told someone would be in touch. We were emailed offering a pretty poor 20% refund which I had to spend days chasing down to get someone to arrange on the phone after being told ‘sorry we’re quite busy right now, can you call back later?’
Such a shame as the venue and the bedrooms really are lovely and it’s a nice spot, but a really shambolic experience overall and feeling very disappointed

Such a wonderful spot, in lovely grounds and environment. The room, bar and restaurant were all great. Clean, tidy and everyone was friendly. Ideal location for a concert at Tofte Manor, we will definitely come back!
