Excellent Value for money

Having spent many holidays at this hotel over the last 40 years (approx. 10) I have just recently returned from yet another one. Lovely position on the prom and this time we made use of the car park immediately behind the hotel and found it to be good value for money.
We always try if possible to have a sea view room and think that the extra cost is well worth it. Our room was spacious and had a walk in shower which was boon as the weather was so hot. The biggest plus of this hotel is the value for money. We book as always through head office and travel there in our own car whereas lots of the other guests come on coaches. We thoroughly enjoyed both our breakfasts and evening meals and the menu suited us well. We even had a sea view from our dinning table which was an unexpected bonus. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Great location, average hotel

Location is great, beach opposite...shops pubs and cafes 2 minutes walk. Room was fine, basic but had what needed, housekeeping very good. Restaurant staff not friendly at all, everything seemed a chore to them and their replies often quite sharp. The food was average, bacon was inedible, sent it back twice but it came out worse.
Reception and bar staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Entertainment was poor I suggest you venture out in the evening, plenty of better live entertainment nearby. Book a Seaview its worth the extra.

It's a great location

Great location .the hotel is used for coach trips for the over 60s...food not too bad..bingo quiz music on offer.. traditional tourist hotel

My opinion

Just came back of a 7day holiday with alfa trave.we had a luvly sea veiw room.which was clean .everything thing was good. Only complaint could have been more choice of food and hotter .at main meal time breakfast was very good.
