The Plaza Hotel Roof Top Bar Restaurant is a 5 Star Dining Experience ❤️❤️ Worth a visit if in the area. Experienced staff with stunning views and amazing food.

Just PERFECT!!!
We stayed there from 06/27 to 07/04. Welcome by the smiling and warm receptionist; very clean and spacious room with a sea view; efficient and smiling chambermaids from the morning, perfect breakfast buffet, there is something for every taste!!! The coffee is perfect and you have a choice and it is made to order, which is not always the case!! As for the service staff from morning coffee to dinner, they are all very, very professional! Smiling, attentive, a pure joy; we dined there twice, had aperitifs, cocktails, and meals from appetizer to dessert, everything was so good. Do not change anything, a special thank you to Christiano who made us a coffee Saturday morning (6:30 AM) before leaving for the airport. Really, thank you very much to all this wonderful team for this stay with you; we will keep an excellent memory of it, and wish you a beautiful summer season. Conquered Alsatians. Short stay Catania
We've just returned from the Plaza Hotel Catania and had a great 3 night stay. The location is ideal, coastal views, easy flat walk into Central Catania (20 mins walk to Catania Central bus and train station) and a few local bars and restaurants to enjoy a drink or evening meal. There's also a big supermarket approx 5 mins walk away.
The hotel is clean, spacious, and we had a lovely room with balcony and sea view. Sun on the balcony most of the day, with shutters to close to keep the room dark in the mornings. Our bed was comfy, memory foam mattress, and made up each day. Tea and coffee, kettle etc in the room and enough space to hang clothes.
There's a couple of bars/restaurants across the road which offer sunloungers for 12€ each with access into the sea. No beach, but the water was perfect!
We only had breakfast which was nice, with good choices available.
The staff were friendly, helpful and very approachable.
We'd certainly stay here again if visiting Sicily.

The room leaves something to be desired.
Hotel located in a good position on the seafront, breakfast on the top floor with a view of Etna and the sea really phenomenal. The breakfast I must say was good. The room I had was on the first floor and I must say quite small. The toilet practically attached to the sink was really hard to sit on. Badly designed. The room temperature was far too high and not adjustable.... Strange but so they explained. I would have preferred to get a room with a balcony.

Hotel was well situated to get the bus into Catania or walk if feeling fit!
Our room was nice, comfy bed but had issue with ants!
Hotel came to deal with them immediately but they were still quite a lot in the room and bathroom.
We also had a blocked sink which again they dealt with.
Breakfast was typically European with nice pastries, cakes were pretty tasteless though and scrambled eggs were often cold which wasn't great.
Restaurant had good food, very tasty but pricey; €18 for a pretty bland mozzarella and tomato salad
Overall we'd give it 3.5 stars.
