Everything perfect!
We stayed in two apartments at Albamarina Holiday Homes in Lipari.
We could not have asked for better.
Both apartments have livable terraces, an outdoor kitchen, and a view of one of the squares in the center.
Small apartments but equipped with everything, including perfect air conditioning on these very hot days.
New bathroom equipped with a welcome kit.
The gentleman at the reception was very kind in providing us with all the information to have a great stay on this beautiful island.
We could not have asked for better.

Very central!
Apartments adjacent to the main avenue of Lipari full of shops and restaurants. A stone's throw from the arrival port and Marina Corta for the departure of boat excursions. Deco' supermarket just a few minutes walk away.
Excellent reception by the owner with all kinds of advice for a pleasant stay.
Nice and clean apartment. The cleaning lady was very kind. The only flaws: a little noisy due to the rooms below and the lack of a microwave and oven. Good price. I advise. Thanks for the hospitality.

Only OK but a good price
The apartment was best described as adequate. It was a great location and a good price. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and it had most things you need. The linen and towels were changed in the middle of our stay. The table was broken when we arrived but this was fixed when we mentioned it.
I notified the property manager of our arrival time twice by email but had to wait for half an hour for someone to turn up and let us in. There were two other bookings also waiting. When I mentioned this the representative told me the office is closed on Saturday and they hadn’t checked their emails. The apartment had no lounge or comfortable chairs to sit on. It was situated above a vibrant and noisy restaurant, so we had to close the doors at night to sleep.

Central but poor service
I went there with my partner from Australia in August and I booked the appartment in April.
When we arrived the guy wasn't at the reception we called on the phone and he came to the office and took us to the appartment.
The air con Wasn't working and I called him back straight away.he told us that the next day someone was coming to fix it: the 3rd day of our stay we had a fan instead
Shower and shower screen had mould all over it.
The bathroom had hardly any water pressure.

Great location but poor furnishings
Case Vacanze Albamarina is located some distance from the port, so you need to either take a taxi or walk along the cobbled main street until you come to Subba Cake shop. In the Piazza behind it you will find the real estate agency that manages Case Vacanze Albamarina.
There are 18 narrow steps to climb once you have entered the secure premises. The room we had overlooked the piazza on both sides. The bedroom is an odd shape and there is not much room to move. You need to store everything in the cupboard as there is no room for baggage in the room.
In low season there was not much noise from the two restaurants but no doubt if you retire early, there will be a lot of noise.
The kitchen provides washing up facilities so you can ensure that the cutlery and crockery is clean. Minimum cooking utensils for self catering.
All the furniture is heavy dark wood and the dining table so small that more than one person is too many. You cannot sit at the ends of the table (which is pushed up against the wall for lack of space) because it has a large protrusion and peg - old style folk furniture.
The small TV is located in the kitchen so you have to sit on the hard uncomfortable chairs if you want to watch anything. The refrigerator did not close itself and you had to make sure that it shut each time. No microwave or oven but a gas stove. Over the railing clothes hanger provided.
The bathroom was dark and cramped and the exhaust was a hole in the wall through 10inches of concrete. The lighting was poor but the shower was hot but only allowed one person to shower before the geyser had to refill and reheat.
The Piazza is small and laneways lead away to Via Garibaldi (the better street for shopping), the castle and church and Marina Corte.
The church in Marina Corte is undergoing renovation and some of the castle churches and museums and grounds are closed too.
There are three supermarkets, one in the main street, Via Vittorio Emanuele, between the port and Casa Vacanze Albamarina, one near Diana Brown's apartments and one along the lungomare. There are several fresh fruit and veg shops and also vans near the port.
For location Casa Vacanze Albamarina is very good but for comfort, it needs some serious overhauling.
