Honest review
Check-in was completed via WhatsApp using passport photos, and we were asked to pay a tourist tax of €77, which was much higher than the amount stated by Love Holidays. After checking online, the hotel’s charge appeared correct.
The walls are extremely thin. We were woken at 6:30am on our first morning by the same “friend” watching videos loudly in reception. He immediately turned down the volume. Throughout our stay his regular presence in the reception made it unclear who the actual staff were.
Our first room was directly next to the breakfast area and very noisy, but the hotel moved us without hesitation to a better room. However, noise from reception was still easily heard.
The location is good and central, but the rooms are outdated and not particularly clean, with issues such as hairs, limescale, and a broken toilet seat.
Overall, this felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we are glad you appreciated our central location and that our team moved you to a preferred room without hesitation, we are truly sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not live up to your expectations.
We would like to clarify a few points to ensure future guests have the correct information:
Our Staff & Security: We apologize for the misunderstanding during your check-in. Carlos is indeed a fully contracted, official member of our staff team, not an outsider. Because we prioritize guest safety in a busy city center, our main doors are kept locked in the evening. Carlos advises guests to be mindful of their belongings as a standard, helpful precaution for anyone traveling in a central, bustling city like Naples.
City Tax: The city tax in Naples is standard and legally mandated at €5.50 per person, per night. We appreciate your understanding that this is a local government fee and not an error or extra charge on our part, despite the incorrect estimate provided by your booking agent.
Noise & Thin Walls: Being in the historic, vibrant heart of Naples, the city atmosphere can absolutely be chaotic and lively. However, we take your comments about internal noise seriously and will remind our team to keep reception volumes to an absolute minimum during early hours.
Cleanliness: We maintain strict standards for our rooms, so we are disappointed to hear about the issues with the toilet seat and cleanliness. This has been immediately passed on to our housekeeping team to ensure it does not happen again.
We always strive to offer a welcoming and comfortable environment, and we hope you will give us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a much-improved experience.
Warm regards,

Don’t expect a hotel but it’s a clean option to base your travels.
Once the door opened to our room we were greeted with antique furniture and high ceilings- really charming and felt atmospheric. Lived the wood flooring too. As many people have commented it’s very clean and the soft furnishings inside the room were nice stylish touches.
There were a few things that could be improved however- the bathroom had paint peeling off, the light switch was wrapped in parcel tape and it felt in need of maintenance. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities would’ve been a nice added touch.
The main issue was the boiler/water heater in the bathroom. It was noisy most of the night- possibly as people on other rooms on the second floor ran their water?? It was so bad it affected our sleep which was a great shame really. Location wise it’s great. Being close to the station meant it was handy for tour pickups and drop offs. Some good restaurants around Garibaldi square too. Obviously after 11pm it not the best place to be walking around as most guide books will tell you (just be safe with valuables as in most major cities around the world) but there is a police/army presence at night around the station.
We have to mention the street cafe on the corner on the left hand side as you turn left out of the hotel door and walk up the street. Excellent coffee in the morning and you can sit on a table outside. Open from just before 7am. It was a lifesaver as no coffee making facilities in the room.
Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Just set your expectations- this is not a hotel.
Would I stay there again- probably no but only due to the boiler noise and lack of tea and coffee facilities. For the price and location it’s a good base. We booked with wowcher so breakfast not included.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review of your stay. We are thrilled that you appreciated the authentic charm, high ceilings, and vintage atmosphere of our building, as well as the cleanliness and our helpful team!
However, I am truly sorry to hear that the boiler noise impacted your sleep, and I apologize for the maintenance issues you noticed in the bathroom. Please rest assured that we are looking into the water heater and the bathroom touch-ups immediately to ensure a more comfortable stay for future guests. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the kettle and tea/coffee facilities.
We are glad our location worked well for your travels and that you enjoyed the nearby corner cafe! Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.
Warm regards,

Functional but basic
We arrived at night and were repeatedly warned that the area was "not safe" so we didn't feel comfortable venturing out. There is no "American bar" as advertised so we went to bed hungry and thirsty. The continental breakfast is a couple of cakes, yoghurts and a croissant which is served from 8am. Nothing hot and no fruit.
The lady on reception was lovely and did her best to be helpful. The rooms are comfortable and warm. A kettle with coffee-making facilities would have been handy.
The area itself is rather scruffy with lots of litter but the location is very handy for the train station and only about 15 minutes walk from the Palace of Naples and the main shopping street.
I would say this is a functional place to stay but there will be places nearby better equipped.

Dear Victoria,
Thank you for sharing your opinion, although we are surprised by several of your statements, which appear contradictory or the result of a misreading of the information provided during the booking process.
Here are some points that deserve clarification:
Type of Property: We are transparent about our status as a Suite/Guest House. Calling us "less well-equipped" than a large international hotel is inappropriate: we offer the typical services of our category, which are extensively described on all portals.
Safety and Location: We are sorry you felt "uncomfortable," but describing us as being in an unsafe area is a subjective exaggeration. We are just steps from the central station, a vital and multicultural area of every European metropolis, certainly not dangerous. The fact that you were able to walk to the Royal Palace and Via Toledo in just 15 minutes confirms the strategic centrality of our location.
Services and Dining: We have never advertised an "American Bar" with late-night kitchen service. The continental breakfast we offer follows local standards, and the variety you described (cakes, yogurt, croissants) is exactly what is expected. Arriving late at night and demanding hot food service without consulting the schedule cannot be considered a shortcoming of the property.
Comfort: We are pleased that you found the rooms warm and comfortable and our staff "enchanting." This confirms the high quality of our work, despite your harsh review based on personal expectations inconsistent with the type of accommodation you booked.
. Those seeking the functionality, warmth, and strategic location we offer continue to choose us with satisfaction.
Best regards,
The Management

Good for a one night stay if arriving before dark
The breakfast was fine but could easily be improved (fruit looked weeks old). The area is useful for transport links, but from the street noises overnight I don't think this is a safe area after dark. If you're planning to arrive after dark with kids, another location may be worth considering.

Thank you for choosing Napoli Suite and for highlighting our cleanliness and the helpfulness of our staff. We are glad we could assist with your airport transfers.
Regarding your comments on the location, we would like to offer a quick clarification:
Our Location: While we are conveniently close to transport links, we are not located directly at the station. We are situated about a 10-minute walk away, which typically offers a different atmosphere than the immediate station square.
Urban Environment: Like any major international city, station districts are busy hubs that can feel lively. However, this is a standard characteristic of metropolitan centers worldwide, and our specific street is a well-traveled part of the city's infrastructure.
We sincerely apologize for the breakfast experience. We have already addressed the issue regarding the fruit with our kitchen team to ensure that only the freshest seasonal produce is served to our guests.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future.
Best regards,
