Set in the centre of Rome, 500 metres from St Peter's Square, the historic BoRooms offers accommodation with free WiFi and a shared lounge. It is situated 1.3 km from Campo de' Fiori and features a shared kitchen. The guest house has family rooms.

Cozy, perfect location! No reception desk
The Hotel has three rooms a common area/kitchen where you could get yourself provided food (yoghurt, fruits, milk, coffee, cocoa, corn flakes, cake, tea, juice) at any time, also cook if you wish. Very clean and uncomplicated. Breakfast was ordinary and mostly packaged (e.g. croissant), but we enjoyed it very much.
The location is superb, right between Castel Sant'Angelo and Vatikan, both in a couple of minutes distance. The old town and other sights were in walking distance, too, we also walked to the Colosseo (about 45 min). The street is full of restaurants and delicious ice cream parlors, some of which are recommended on Trip Advisor.
We really enjoyed our stay! You should know, though, that there is no reception desk on-site. In our case, we were brought to the front door by the airport transfer driver, who then proceeded to call the receptionist. We were left standing alone for a couple of minutes until someone came from across the street to open for us and check us in and give us the keys. A bit unusual, but we didn't mind, just make sure they know when you are arriving and don't panic (or keep ringing the doorbell) when no one is coming immediately, it works out! Check out is just as uncomplicated.

Hidden prices
My boyfriend booked BoRooms after looking at the reviews on tripadvisor and booking.com. What you thought was a good deal was actually false! We were automatically charged an extra €40 for checking in late. The breakfast is not what you expect. There is no fresh food, the croissants come in plastic wrapping from a supermarket, and you are given one chocolate biscuit each. You are then expected to wash your own dishes. If I had booked an Airbnb I wouldn’t mind this but we were paying over €100 per night and would expect better service.

Regarding the issue of breakfast, the Italian law, unfortunately, requires us to serve pre-packed food, unless our guesthouse would have specific license.
About the price for “late check-in”, we would remind you that in any portal we are present, it is clearly specified our check in time is fixed from 3pm to 10pm and possible delays on our guests are surcharged with an extra fee of 40euro, after midnight. In addition of above, we also are used to inform our guests through a specific text to assure the exact arrival time, reminding the possible extra fee for late check in.
In this circumstance you were promptly informed by sms.
Therefore, we don’t talk about “hidden price” but rather an it has paid far too little attention to our conditions of check in.
Concerning the issue of cleaning, we provide a daily cleaning service in all rooms of our guesthouse and in the common area, including “dirty dishes obviously.
In the specific circumstance, you were not asked to “clean the dirty dishes” and we didn’t expect any your action on that. We are used to keep the structure always clean and very organized following according the clean up schedule.
In any case, we believe that leaving the common area in order, away from the clean up hours, is a gesture of courtesy towards other guests.
We hope to have answered properly to your review and we also remain at your disposal for any clarification you have. Beside we’d be also pleased to host you down the line.

Great location
There are only 3 rooms you can book at this place but its really clean, updated and comfortable. There is always breakfast items... cereal, milk, coffee, tea etc... in the shared kitchen. The wifi was good and the host was great as well. I really enjoyed my stay at BoRooms and will come back here the next time I am in Rome.

Abbiamo soggiornato per un weekend in questo b&b che si trova in una posizione eccezionale per visitare il centro di Roma, i musei vaticani, trastevere a piedi.La zona è bella e tranquilla con tanti localini carino.Il b&b pulitissimo e nuovo e Gabriele amichevole e preciso.Lo consiglio vivamente per godersi a pieno Roma
