One of the best hotels in the world

This is a classic . The facilities, location and wonderful breakfast. Above all the attitude of the staff..
Adelina managing reception was a great ambassador from the start. And the entire team , housekeeping ,night porter and the manager who checked us out the following morning were top class. The service was flawless and kind. Good advice was given and everything was calm and understated. But at the heart there is a welcome.
The facilities of the hotel are magnificent and a drink on the balcony is worth a visit to Venice on its own . The location speaks for itself but the real jewels in Foscari are the staff.

Very good location. Ask for a room with view of the grand canal. Room was nice size and very comfortable. No additions like water, coffee or tea in the room. WiFi a little on &off. Reception not the most helpful or engaging. Breakfast was very good. Very close to boat station and Gondola rides. Away from Marco square about 7 stop by boat on the grand canal. Less crowded, good reasonably priced restaurants close. I give it a B plus

Hospitality looks different

Good · The location of the hotel - nothing more.
The weather - but the hotel can't help it.
Unfortunately, not a good experience:
Reception very impersonal- neither "Good afternoon" or any other welcome- disinterested, unmotivated reception staff, "manager" included - best not to disturb!
Hotel bar was closed for the whole period, minibar nothing in it, nowhere a drinks vending machine - drink in the hotel so MISADVERTISEMENT.
Unloved and unkempt - Bar on the terrace : a rubbish area, carpets scraped, fallen plaster was simply left lying.
Reception staffed only sporadically.
Local tax could not be paid by card (?)
Not believing everything the 4 (!!) Stars Hotel on its website writes. Never 4 stars!!!

Palace Foscari, very disappointed for the price of the room.

The reception was very disappointing; apart from taking your key when you leave and return, there is no open bar, no kettle in the rooms, the breakfast is mediocre and always the same (the waitress is very helpful). My brother had a room that really needs renovation; this hotel must have been a lovely palace that is falling apart. The positive point is the location; everything is within walking distance and it is very quiet.

Bitter aftertaste of having paid way too much

Room was okay, breakfast was very good, receptionist was not particularly polite - one is not acknowledged or greeted. Caution, they offer highly fluctuating prices - with longer advance booking compared to very last-minute booking, there can be a price difference of more than double!
