Very beautiful room with all required amenities. Everything looks like new. Hotel has underground parking, nice restaurants. Nice bar on 4th floor. Beautiful to stay in it.

3/5 - but only just! Disappointed not to post something more positive…

Our high hopes were met and indeed exceeded for decor and appearance. The Lobby Bar and main communal spaces, including what we could see of the separate restaurant area (we dined in the bar), all really impressed our group. The space is eye-catching and quite classy with beautiful curved edges and sleek woodwork and design.  Loved it.
If the review stopped there, it’d be 5/5. Flashy yes but not fab!! The food didn’t stack up at all. It felt like Arkaba Hotel déjà vu. We went back to Arkaba soon after that make over and enjoyed the ‘feel’ but absolutely did not enjoy the food. This food at Panorama was perhaps marginally better but, of six people around the table, only one said they would have their dish again - the steak sandwich apparently worked as it certainly achieved food envy from others who were less satisfied - being those having two types of schnitzels, one junior cheeseburger, one buffalo chicken burger and one chicken wrap …. all were consumed simply because they were paid for and that’s not a great reason to eat! In particular, the chicken wrap was dry and bland as there was hardly any sauce within the wrap, just a dense aioli on the side, yet conversely the chicken burger was totally drenched in, and overpowered by, the buffalo sauce. And the cheese on top of the beef schnitzel looked like plastic - the same terrible appearance as schnitzel at the Arkaba. Wonder what cheese they use…. and if it’s even cheese???  Ugh.
So given all that - i.e. 1/5 for food - the overall rating gets reduced to 3/5, but even that is given begrudgingly, especially given this final point: there’s a lovely ‘sunken lounge’ drinks/sitting area encircled by bench seating. During our visit, various toddler-ish-aged kids seemed to be let loose on that area like it was a playground, running around on the bench seating almost as a race track. Ignoring the parenting (!!!!), it was amazing that someone from the Hotel didn’t ask for that to stop. That’s bad. ‘Family friendly’ doesn’t mean all other people dining there should have to put up with those families’ disrespect for property. Would be interesting to see how the fabric on that bench seating will last……

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and honest feedback with us. We’re pleased to hear that the design, décor and communal spaces at Hotel Panorama made such a strong impression on your group. We’ve put a great deal of thought into the design of the hotel, so it’s wonderful to hear that the curved features, timber finishes and overall atmosphere stood out to you.
That said, we’re very disappointed to hear that the food did not meet the same standard. We’re particularly concerned that only one member of your group would have chosen to order their meal again. Your specific comments regarding the chicken wrap, buffalo chicken burger and schnitzels are valuable, and we will share this feedback with our culinary team for review. We want our food offering to match the quality and presentation of the venue, so this is certainly not feedback we take lightly.
We’re also sorry about the experience with children running and playing on the sunken lounge seating. While we absolutely want to provide a welcoming and family-friendly environment, our team should also be mindful of the comfort of all guests and the appropriate use of our furniture and communal spaces. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Thank you again for your detailed feedback. While we’re sorry we didn’t deliver the experience you were hoping for, your comments give us clear areas to focus on and improve. We hope you’ll consider visiting us again in the future and give us the opportunity to provide an experience that better reflects the standard we’re aiming for.
Kind regards,
The Hotel Panorama Team

Lunch at the Lobby Bar

Had lunch today with family in the Lobby Bar, which was packed by 12:15 pm. They don't take reservations, so we got there early (11:45) to make sure we got a table, or in our case, a booth. The food was delicious and the service was first rate. (You order at the bar, and they deliver.) We ordered 5 different meals, all were rated wonderful, and all agreed we'd go back there soon. We looked around the hotel a bit. The restaurant is quite small and was full. (It takes reservations, and had no availability today when I looked 2 days ago). The place has good vibes. I recommend it.
