A typical Austrian bed & breakfast
A typical Austrian bed & breakfast a bit difficult to find even with the navigator. On the road from St. Gilgen to Abersee, pay attention to the sign on the right. Then a narrow road leads to the building, the last one you meet. Parking is free and reserved for customers. I had booked a room with a balcony but upon arrival I was given a room on the ground floor, with direct access to the garden. A bit small but with a comfortable bathroom. The owner, very nice and helpful, speaks only German and so we understood almost only by gestures. I therefore recommend to print the booking also in German, if possible, so as to show it to the owner if complications arise. However, when paying the final bill I was pleased to find that the owner, very honestly, charged me the price for the room assigned to me and not the room with a balcony. Apart from this incident, the structure is well maintained with a large garden available with armchairs, benches and deckchairs. Breakfast is complete and if required fresh eggs are also cooked. The surrounding area is very quiet being quite far from the busy streets. You can not enjoy a direct view of the lake, but the landscape of the surrounding mountains is very pleasant. Finally, pay attention to the fact that payment is made only in cash!

Cute country side hotel
A nice small hotel in a village in Austrian Alps – this is exactly what I was looking for when planning my holiday. The rooms wouldn't look like in the big-brands hotels, but are very neat, clean and well serviced, even though they are pretty small (I stayed in a single bed room #10). Bathroom was a little narrow, but clean.
Owners are a nice couple, but only speaking German, which was slightly impeding communication. Breakfasts were included and served each morning in the dining room on the ground floor – standard continental breakfast. However, taking my very limited knowledge of German, I guess they have also offered eggs, which I refused and said that I’m happy with what I see in the buffet.
The hotel is a little tricky to find at night as road sign isn’t that visible. You have to take a narrow driveway just in front of the road sign, pass by the Regina Hotel to the very end of the driveway which will bring you straight to the hotel. There’s a forest that starts right after hotel boundary that gives that sense of a secluded place where only cows with little bells will be the only noise outside in the evening and early morning. It’s not disturbing at all but quite nice))
Will definitely stay in this place again when the chance comes.

Zuerst: Die 5 Punkte beziehen sich auf die Kategorie als 3*** Pension.
Die Lage der Pension ist abseits des größten Trubels, das ist super für alle die am Abend nicht Party oder Lärm haben wollen, dafür benötigt man für alles ein Auto.
Der Gastgeber ist wohl einer der freundlichsten Hosts, die ich bisher erlebt hatte. Alles sehr familiär und liebenswert.
Das Zimmer ist der Kategorie entsprechend. Natürlich nicht besonders modern, dass passt aber zum Flair der Pension.
Wer auf den modernen Luxus von Hotelketten keine Lust hast und etwas natürlicheres Sucht ist hier richtig. Sehr zu empfehlen für Großstädter die mal das "Land erleben wollen".
