A jewel in the Laurentians

Excellent stay for our 3rd visit to the VS. The chalets are rustic but it is a good value for money. We're coming, parking and we're not taking the car. 5 minutes walk from the village which has good restaurants and cafes, grocery store, etc.. Backed directly to Val-David Park, Val-Morin. We walk with our snowshoes or skis and on the other side of the street there is access to the Petit Train du Nord. We can also bring our dogs, a big bonus. They even provide us with cutlery, a towel to wipe our legs and bowls. The kitchen is quite well equipped, the cottages are super clean.

Terrible (sorry).

Price has become ridiculous. Pool is not like it was before. River is like it dried up.

Very average...

Positive: well located, within walking distance of the village of val-david, near the little train of the North and the regional park. Nice pool. Chalet well equipped kitchen level.
Negative: close to the road, no dishwasher, small site, no access to water for swimming or water sports. Dirty spa. Chalets very close so we hear the neighbors! No air conditioning and very hot chalet... small rooms. Change of Owner I think... the site said dogs accepted and welcome... but they are tolerated no more. Nothing for them, not even a bowl of water and towels as indicated. Staff members interviewed seem frustrated and not smiling at all. Not welcoming. Far too many emails before arrival... like 5-6 with repeated info. And above all, far too expensive for what it's worth. 3 stars is generous unfortunately...

We love this place

We love this place. 6 of us have been coming here for about 10 years in winter. We each get our own bedroom. You walk out your door to excellent cross country ski trails and it's a 5 min walk to the grocery store in charming Val David. It's rustic but was renovated several years ago - better bathrooms with new heaters, comfy mattresses, and well stocked kitchens. Bit quirky but we found staff responsive. It's for sale and we really hope we can come back next year.

Excellent stay at chalet #6!
Anne-Marie was very receptive and available to answer the thousand questions I asked during my stay. The bed was so comfortable that I stayed an extra night to enjoy it!
The place is calm and peaceful. I didn't miss anything! Except wood! Plan to buy a few bags because only one is provided for the stay and that doesn't make an evening! There was no paper or kindling either.
Hiccups: I had a bit of trouble with the fireplace because it made a lot of smoke and the detector was constantly screaming. I would also have liked to have household products to be able to clean a little during my stay and before my departure but there were none.
The spa is peaceful but some jets are broken and the water is spraying everywhere (unpleasant part when you want to relax but the water splashes in your face) But all that is just minor details! I really loved my stay
I'm already planning to go back very soon!!
