comfortable stay and perfect food

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the Red Orchid Hotel. The rooms were very tidy and well-equipped. The staff was very attentive and courteous. Best part was the food. This hotel has an excellent chef, the food was perfect and the prices were very reasonable.

Subject: Complaint regarding extortion, price discrimination, and refusal of room to adult couple – Red Orchid Hotel Kanpur
Respected Management / Support Team,
I am writing to formally log a serious complaint against Red Orchid Hotel, Kanpur regarding their unfair trade practices, extortion, and discrimination against adult guests.
I was planning to book a stay at the hotel. While the online price on major platforms (like Cleartrip, Agoda, Booking.com) is around ₹1,700 - ₹2,200, the hotel management is explicitly refusing to honor online bookings. They are demanding a premium of ₹4,200 per night simply because I will be checking in with my female partner (we are both consenting adults, aged 18+ with valid government IDs).
The hotel representative explicitly stated over WhatsApp: "Sir online book bhi mat kijiyega Kiyki phir local id pe madam ko stay nahi mil payega... No sorry sir not possible." (Screenshots attached as proof).
This is a clear case of:
1 Price Discrimination & Extortion: Forcing guests to pay offline rates double the advertised online price under duress.
2 Harassment of Unmarried Couples: India's law does not prohibit consenting adults (18+) with valid IDs from staying together in a hotel. Denying entry based on gender or relationship status while demanding extra money to bypass their "rule" is a violation of consumer rights.
I request the hotel management to look into this corruption by their staff and allow booking at the legitimate online rates.
I also urge the online booking platforms to investigate this property for violating partner guidelines and manipulating pricing. If this is not resolved, I will be forced to escalate this matter to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and share these proofs on public review platforms.

Everything is perfect.

This hotel is amazing staff are very friendly,and helpful. Rooms ambiance is excellent nd net and clean. Food was amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel for those people who visit kanpur and want a good hotel,food in affordable price.
