This Hotel Has it All
Good sized rooms. Sauna in hotel. Excellent location. Comfy bed and bedding. You will have a happy stay here. Huge variety at breakfast, ask for decaf coffee if you need it. Surrounded by walkable streets and old Town and parks.

Unpleased guest
Not quite pleased, expected better for a 4* hotel.
Let's start with positive things:
+ Location, fun little walk to old town. Quite a busy road next to the hotel so there was some noise coming in but at 4th floor it wasn't that bad for us.
+ Staff was absolutely great at the hotel
+/- hotel itself is unique and beautiful from the inside. Restaurant atmosphere was great. While unique looking from outside it looks really dated.
Then the sad negatives:
- Room wasn't in a good shape. Couldn't use sliding door cabinets at all because the doors would detach. Major safety hazard for our 1,5yr old. TV remote didn't work at all, TV itself is really old, it turned on from the button on TV but couldn't change channels. Chair was visibly broken. One of the small round tables was really wobbly, will break completely soon. Toddlers crib was old and in overall bad shape, didn't feel like it was safe for our toddler. Air conditioning wasn't too great either. Moisture in room was sometimes really high and unpleasant. Whole floor carpet was nasty, there were plenty of suspicious stains on the carpet. Bathroom was mostly fine but shower was quite dirty, especially the sliding doors. Bed was ok, pillows bad.
- Breakfast. Everything from scrambled eggs to bacon were cold and dry. We chose this hotel because we thought it had a good breakfast but that was a big disappointment. Most of the tables were wobbly and unpleasant to eat at.

Breakfast was disappointing, there was hair in the bathtub. Personnel polite, but not particularly helpful. Location was great though.

The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Riga, surrounded by two beautiful parks. It's an architecturally interesting building with plenty of character and has all the potential to become one of the city's best hotels.
At the moment, though, the interior feels quite dated. The carpets are old, stained, and worn, and the hotel would really benefit from a renovation.
That said, this didn't have much impact on my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice view of the greenery outside. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
With a modern refurbishment, this hotel could easily live up to its full potential and attract even more guests, especially business travelers. Its fantastic location and distinctive building deserve an interior that matches.

3 night stay
Our tour group stayed here 3 nights. We stayed in room 319, considered a premium suite. The room had everything you would expect. The beds were firm to our liking and the bathroom had both tub and shower. Toiletries were nice and included both conditioner and body cream, which not all hotels have provided. The nespresso machine and bottled water was a nice bonus. Breakfast was good which of course included the wonderful fresh loaves of bread this region is known for. Breakfast staff were very friendly. Lobby area has complimentary apples, cookies and water laid out during the day. Furnishings are looking a little worn in some areas of the hotel and one of the stair flights carpeting has dribbled stains that look like bleach or something similar.
Excellent location with just a short walk to the canal and the old town and art nouveau section.
