Staff should atleast speak some level of English. Shower was not that good.
Breakfast was outside in the cold morning with no heaters.
Everything else was fine.

I RECOMMEND 100% HOTEL TERRA BY ECO REFUGE

A unique and unrivalled experience that I spent in my stay at the Hotel Terra by Refugio Ecológica, a 10/10 attention from when I entered reception that attended me in a warm way until when they took me to my room, the spaces are spacious, modern clean and very comfortable, as it is located in a very central place to be able to move, anyway I recommend it!

Negative experience due to serious security breaches

Our stay at Hotel Terra by Refugio Ecológica was unfortunately negative due to a serious flaw in the security system of the rooms.
During the night, other guests tried to enter and opened the door to our room because they had a key that matched ours, which generated a situation of great fear. When reporting what happened at the reception desk, the problem was not immediately verified by the staff. We were the ones who found that the same key opened more than one room, which shows a lack of control in the allocation of keys.
We received no immediate solution and could not rest easy. The next morning, due to the total loss of confidence in the security of the hotel, we requested the refund of the money. The process took more than 24 hours and, in addition, we were not refunded the full amount, increasing the charge from 155 to 170.
Eventually we had to retreat and look for another accommodation on our own, assuming an additional unforeseen expense and completely affecting our travel experience.
We believe that such failures should not occur in any hosting establishment.
For what happened, I would not recommend this hotel.

Excellent

My experience at Hotel Terra by Refugio Ecológica was excellent. I highlight its privileged location in Yanahuara, which allows walking to the main tourist attractions, but in a quiet area. The rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable, ideal for a good rest. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. It is the perfect choice if you are looking for peace and comfort in Arequipa. Fully recommended

My son and I stayed at this property twice for about 5 nights. I was super impressed. There were mostly two men who ran the front desk and they were both amazing!! They helped us in many little ways. For example the day we were to fly home one of them arranged for me to see a doctor on short notice to check an injury from our hiking in southern Peru. This hotel is lucky to have such amazing staff. Resort also super clean and all staff are friendly!!! Eric Bennett
