Today, 16/04/2026, 00:50 AM in Normas Hotel, Al Khobar Branch. KSA
It was a very bad experience — the bathroom floor was not draining the water properly. I informed the receptionist, but he said I would need to wait until morning for housekeeping, even though there was a cleaner already present, cleaning the hotel floor when I was checking in.
I have stayed in many hotels but have never faced a problem like this. If they don’t have an immediate solution, they should at least offer to change the room, rather than letting the customer suffer. When I told him I would speak to his manager, he simply replied, “Okay, no problem.” Such behavior is not at all suitable for hotel staff, especially when guests come seeking peace of mind after a tiresome day.
Staff behavior like this harms the hotel’s reputation.

Very normal

good .. Housekeeping staff enter and clean without permission if you don't tell them to do not disturb, even if you are leaving. Be aware of this.

Taking money without managing the situation professionally...exploitation and manipulation.

I booked online..
Also, requested a smoking room.. and upon arrival they said verbally that there are no smoking rooms but (there is a smoking room that closes at midnight) and I told them that my booking before a few minutes. Can I get a refund?
They refused under the pretext of the hotel’s policy.. and I called the manager as well to no avail.. I was really surprised by the poor management of the situation (and I left and did not get my money back because of their refusal)
