Decisamente un'esperienza piacevole, un posticino tranquillo con poche camere molto pulite e con il personale molto simpatico e cordiale. Buona posizione per muoversi sia a Dakar che verso l'entroterra.

Unsuitable for Europeans
The room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is adequate and served on a terrace. The staff are friendly and there is ample hot water. The flat screen TV has a good reception. There is a good quality mosquito net fitted to the bed. That's where the good points end.
This is neither a hotel nor are they apartments, the rooms do not have a kitchen or even a fridge. The "restaurant" serves breakfast only so that makes it a B&B. I think dinner can be arranged but I don't want to eat alone! The shower is hot but is not fitted to the wall and the shower head is badly blocked so expect to run around for a wash! Hopefully it will be replaced today.
Internet is extremely intermittent and poor. Data roaming offers only a small improvement but at least guaranteed access. Forget Skype whilst here, bandwidth is insufficient.
You cannot walk to restaurants, downtown or reasonably equipped food stores. This is off the beaten track. I walked for five miles and could only find unsafe street food and tiny corner shops. This is a very Muslim part of town which I respect. However, this also means no bars or even a place to buy a beer.
Access is unlit and down two unmade alleys. It's hidden and tricky to find unless you have good local knowledge.
The building provides a terrace which is pleasant in the mornings. However, power is not available at night so you are confined to your room.
In a nutshell, it is a comfortable place to sleep and have a nice breakfast. Nothing else!
The place is totally unsuitable for a business traveller, a car is essential and if you need to communicate with the outside world , don't come here!

Comfortabel en vriendelijk
Dit hotel had ik gekozen vanwege de ligging: precies tussen de (oude) luchthaven en het Gare Routière in, omdat ik na aankomst de volgende dag wilde doorreizen naar Saint Louis. Deze locatie is niet heel handig voor wanneer je Dakar en diens attracties wilt bekijken: dan moet je elke keer met de taxi of bus reizen voordat je ergens bent.
De locatie brengt met zich mee dat de taxichauffeurs het niet weten te vinden. Ze weten wel waar de buurt is, maar zodra ze van de hoofdweg af zijn, moeten ze de weg vragen. Handig is het om dat laatste stukje van de route uit te printen of te zorgen dat je de kaart van Dakar op je smartphone hebt gedownload - dan kun je offline navigeren en zo de chauffeur vertellen hoe hij moet rijden. Wij hebben zeker 5x moeten de weg moeten vragen. Uiteindelijk kom je er natuurlijk wel.
Er is hier in de buurt niets voor reizigers en toeristen, tenzij je geen bezwaar hebt om een totaal lokale ervaring mee te maken en in de tentjes te eten waar de Senegalezen zelf ook gaan (los van het feit of dit verstandig is). Het is 's avonds wel donker, doordat straatverlichting nu eenmaal slechts op beperkte schaal aanwezig is. Ook zijn de straten niet verhard, alleen de hoofdwegen. Wel is dit hotel redelijk dicht aan de Route de l'Aéroport, zodat je eventueel makkelijk de bus kunt nemen.
De eigenaresse is een zeer vriendelijke dame, ze wil graag dat je het naar je zin hebt. Er staat een fles water op de kamer. Er is airco. Het bed heeft een muggenklamboe. De kamer is redelijk van formaat, Je moet de boiler in de badkamer vooraf zelf aanzetten, anders heb je een koude douche.
Ontbijten kun je beneden doen, of boven op het (overdekte) dakterras, genietend van de rust en het uitzicht. Het ontbijt biedt ook vruchtensap (uit een pak), dat heb ik bij de andere hotels niet meegemaakt (daar was het steeds alleen koffie of thee, en brood met jam).

bon séjour
Un agréable séjour, à la villa Rosa accueil très sympathique, une grande terrasse en haut du bâtiment. La chambre est spacieuse (N°2).il y a un gardien la nuit devant la porte. Repas sénégalais pas cher et très bon. Très content de ce lieu.

Havre de paix à DAKAR
Petit Hotel où les chambres sont propres et bien agencées. Une douche réparatrice après une escapade dans Dakar vous fera le plus grand Bien. le petit déjeuner en terrasse avec vue sur le quartier est un moment de calme. Si vous le désirez, la patronne peut vous assurez un repas. Une patronne d'ailleurs à l'écoute de vos besoins et toujours arrangeante.
