Ignore the negativity! Was dreading my stay after reading some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised.

Spent a week here with my 17 year old son, during the start of August. We weren’t all inclusive but were had the breakfast and evening meal option. Here is a honest and hopefully useful review:
Things to LOVE
* 25 minute ride from Girona airport
* The air conditioning in the rooms. Especially in the August heat
* The location-right adjacent to the beach and a 2 minute walk from the train station (trains every 20 minute to Barcelona) and plenty of places to eat or grab bits from the super market around the corner
* The pool area-slides for the kids, a fab pirate themed baby pool and then another pool where they do daily water aerobics which is a bit of fun. Plenty of loungers in the sun or under the canopies for shade
* Room was clean and had everything you need-fridge, comfy bed, balcony, TV
* Games room with pool tables and a few arcade games in downstairs bar area
* Seen lots of negative comments about the food-as a bit of a fussy eater I can say there was plenty to eat. Breakfast had all the usuals-cereal, pastries, fruit, hams & cheeses and also a really good cooked option. We didn’t have lunch so can’t comment but in the evening again plenty of options including all the bog standard all inclusive foods-chips, pizza, pasta every night, along with a range of other options that varied night to night
* Reception area, pool, restaurant and rooms all clean and well kept
Things to Improve
* There is a safe in the room, but personally I think that the €30 Euro deposit AND THEN €5 per night on top was a bit steep. €35 quid for a week is a bit much
* If you are half board like we were THE ONLY DRINKS AVAILABLE during the evening meal is water. All soft drinks are charged for. Haven’t encountered this before they usually include a juice or something. Easily solved by nipping to the shop around the corner and buying a can of coke or whatever just before and take it in with you
* There is a rather random drinks cup deposit. Never experienced this before. You pay €5 euro deposit for a plastic cup that you need to keep to buy any drink from the bar, including soft drinks and slushes. This is returned to you if you return the cup and the paper slip at the end. We just went to the shop to buy our drinks-if we were all inclusive the booze is also served in the same plastic cup! Great it reduces the plastic waste but there has to be a better way. The same cup all week for all drinks isn’t ideal
* There is a newly renovated bar area downstairs but there is no nightly entertainment. Maybe on occasion but only disco/music regularly from what we experienced
Useful things to think about:
* We had a morning flight so landed at 10 and got to the hotel at 10.30. Even though we could use all the hotel facilities-we couldn’t check in to our room and hadn’t pre planned for this. There is a room to lock your luggage in so you can go for a wander but wish I’d put my swim suit and a change of clothes in my hand luggage. Was a long drag waiting in the heat for the room!
* There is a tax that has to be paid per person when checking in

Better than what I expected from reviews

After reading the reviews I was dreading this holiday but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and helpful.. our room was 2 double beds and a single which was ok just not much room (not needed anyway only really used to change and sleep) plenty to do around the area. We were all inclusive but didn’t really use the food too much have to be careful what meat you eat (pork is quite pink) but other than that like other all inclusives. Estrella on tap so partner was happy! Don’t let the review put you off a holiday is what you make it and you get what you pay for! ☺️ The only downfall was from the Friday - Sunday Spanish families came, the children were all over the place out of control and generally quite rude especially in the game section. Entertainment ok but repetitive

Hotel should be closed down

What a terrible hotel , literally worst I’ve ever stayed at.
Do not eat the food it’s served raw and makes you poorly , had to eat out every night with a family of 5 became very expensive , rooms are never cleaned and end up using same towels to wash with , dining room is a free for all and never anywhere to sit , no cutlery , just totally avoid , staff so unhelpful you end up not bothering … can’t wait to be home literally a hotel from hell , avoid avoid avoid

Good

We have just got back from holiday , we had a great time some of the staff are miserable at the pool bar snack bar one of the lifeguards the older one white long hair very miserable he blew his whistle a few times at people when they accidentally got him wet when coming down the slides I mean you work around a pool ‍♀️ your going to get wet, however we didn’t let that spoil our holiday , also I would say they would need to improve on the evening seating area there’s only one evening area just not enough seats for everyone , but overall hotel was good I would say this if definitely not a 4 star hotel food wise mainly this is for sure a 3 star ⭐.
Area outside the hotel was good loads of restaurants gift shops ice cream shops the kids loved it.

Terrible, avoid this place!!!

We travel a lot, but I'd never seen a hotel like this before.
We were given a tiny, depressing room with falling apart furniture for a family of four that reeked of urine, the bedding was awful, and I had to clean the bathroom myself because it was dirty!!!
Our terrace had two old deck chairs and a view of a concrete wall. My daughter cried and wanted to go home.
The cutlery and plates weren't clean. It literally made me sick.
The food was poor and almost the same every day. Guests left the dining room in a complete mess, with food all over the table and floor...
We tried to walk along the beach, but the small pebbles made it difficult, and our feet easily sank into the sand, making walking difficult.
We walked around a lot to make the time go by faster and to avoid being stuck in the hotel.
This wasn't how I imagined our long-awaited vacation would be. We were thrilled when we came back home
