The location is central walking distance to shops and restaurants in Reykjavik. Bus stops are a 3-5 minute walk for excursion pickups. The staff is friendly and patient, especially after an issue with a lock. I would recommend a suite with access to the common area. The common area is comfortable with all necessary items.

The location is definitely the best part about this place, right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik!
Other than that, B14 is okay at best. Check-in wasn't great. Lugging our suitcases up all of those stairs only to have the keypad to our room lock us out(found out the hard way the keypad was faulty and you have to hit a number more than once for it to register) was not a great first impression. Tried calling for assistance with no answer. We had to awkwardly wait in the hall for the keypad to reset so we could get into our room. Once we got in, the room was nice and quaint with a good-sized bed. It was also pretty noisy from the street below. We're young so not a huge deal, but almost wondering if the windows are single pane. One of the bath towels had brown spots on it as well. For how expensive this place was, I would not stay here again.

Not worth the price

Excellent location BUT terrible service. BEWARE, you have to climb three flights of stairs, there is no elevator. You can well imagine how difficult it was for 5 couples in their 70's. No fresh towels or linen change even for a 7-night stay. Repeated request for garbage pickup was not honored. Ran out of hand soap in some bathrooms. The size of the bathroom is half of the ones in cruise ships. Definitely not worth the $20,000 paid by us for 7nights. DON'T waste your money on this place

I would give a better score if not for the fact that the hotel was in the middle of redecorating during my stay. I would have thought most hotels close during such a process. The room and the common area was good. But the rest of the hotel was in shambles and smelled strongly of glue. Not a great experience. I also had to ask for the door code as I did not receive this ahead of time (and yes, I did check my spam folder). The issue was promptly sorted out, however.
Overall the experience was decent, but at the price I expect the hotel to be neat and tidy, and not in the middle of major redecorating.

It was in an excellent location for easy walking distance to central Reykjavik. Numerous restaurants and shops. Three minute walk to a bus stop for excursions. Staff is friendly.
