Very good value

Whenever I am in Phnom Penh, I am staying in this guesthouse, because it is very good value for the price. It is basic, but clean and quiet. The family is very friendly, and I always enjoyed staying in this guesthouse.

It doesn’t support Ctrip’s online order, and it’s hanging on it, so that I can run for nothing. When I show the order, people simply don’t admit it.

Nice family run, super clean guesthouse!

We have stayed 2 times at the Grey Guesthouse. The place is kept incredibly clean - shocking for a smaller guesthouse. The price is excellent for budget travellers! The staff greets you and provides a cold bottle of water upon checkin!
The rooms are basic, we had a fan room - and the fan was very strong and kept the room cool enough for us. We were on the second floor but there is no elevator so upper floors may be a difficult walk. The room is basic but clean. The bathroom was a decent size.
The location is close to a few bus stations and a 5 minute walk to O'Russey Market. Sadly it is not in a location to walk to any of the major tourist attractions. Luckily there are plenty of tuk tuks available nearby. There arent many restaurant options nearby - we went to Mama restaurant near by that had good and cheap food. There are also many good restaurants near Tuol Sleng (S21) that can be reached quickly by tuk tuk.
This is a good budget guesthouse for a night or two in Phnom Penh. We will be returning on a future trip.

Wouldn’t come again

We paid $9 for the room, for one night. This is cheap as chips and you get what you pay for, but we have had better for the same or less. We stayed in Phnom Penh a second night, but moved elsewhere.
The room was swelteringly hot, hotter than others and the fan inadequate. The bathroom was cleanish- but the shower just sprayed onto the toilet which was annoying. No cockroaches for us, but we did find a chopstick in our bed! The sheets seemed clean but I guess we can’t be sure.
The hostel was very quiet and we could padlock our door which was also good.

central and quiet, good value

This newly renovated gh offers affordable a/c and fan rooms in central location near orussey market. only a few minutes walk from capitol bus station and street market. all rooms with good wifi and no disturbing noise in the neighborhood, what is rather exceptional for the central location. Everything a traveler needs is just a stone throw away, still the side road haas just little traffic, very friendly and helpful staff, my first choice in pnh. a/c rooms with fridge and hot shower for $12.- only (as by april 2018).
