A Home Away From Home with Exceptional Hospitality

On our first trip to Greenport we decided to stay at the highly-recommended, Michelin-keyed Menhaden Hotel. In short: we were not disappointed! As first-time visitors, ahead of our arrival we were full of questions - not only about the hotel but about Greenport itself. John supported us on the itinerary, ensuring we were making the best choices given the limited time that we had. He then took it a step further making ALL of the reservations on our behalf. The hotel itself delivered as promised; it is a boutique hotel with such considered personal touches, it truly feels like a pampered home away from home.
A big thank you to Mario and his team, especially John who made our trip unforgettable.

Get away on the weekend with best friends

A beautiful getaway in a perfect location! The Menhaden accommodations were absolutely stunning, and the service was outstanding. John went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the fresh cookies and morning croissants were a truly special treat. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the quaint town of Greenport."

Girls’Getaway in Greenport

My two lifelong friends and I recently stayed at this seaside boutique, and it was the perfect girls' getaway. We were incredibly impressed by the informative and welcoming check-in provided by John—he made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in!
The rooms were delightfully large, giving us plenty of space to relax and unpack. We were all thrilled with how comfortable the beds were! One of our favorite parts of the stay was visiting the charming snack room. It was fully stocked with fresh hot croissants, warm chocolate chip cookies,yogurt, nuts, and candy, perfectly paired with delicious, piping-hot cappuccinos. ! The rooftop area offers beautiful views of both the town and water. We loved grabbing a cocktail, finding a cozy spot to read, and spending our time just laughing and enjoying the vibe.
We loved every second of our trip and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing coastal retreat!

Just Perfect

What a lovely boutique hotel! Having grown up on Long Island, my best friends and I reunited for a 2-night stay at the Menhaden. Perfect location near the water, transportation (including ferry to Shelter Island), shops, wineries and restaurants. The guest service was top notch with wonderful John, assisting us with cocktails, recommendations, a tour of the hotel and ANYTHING we wanted. He is the definition of hospitality and it shows that he really enjoys his job. The galley had amazing croissants, cookies, snacks, coffee drinks, soda, juice etc....all included in our room charge. The roof deck is spectacular with lounges, fire pits and smore. We can't wait to go back!

Has become our gat away home away from home. From the staff, to property itself, top level.
Staff is professional and friendly, it just goes unmatched. Can’t wait for June when we return again for a long weekend.
