A hotel packed with entertainment

This is my first stay at a Hoshino Resort hotel. Unfortunately, it rained, so we couldn't do outdoor activities, but we had plenty of fun in the rain with kiosks and food and drink facilities on the spacious basement. The facilities have entertainment throughout and are also recommended for staying with family and friends. We also had a lot of international group guests staying here, but they arrived late and the building itself was different, so we didn't have much chance to see them face to face, although we could see them rolling suitcases to their rooms.
The buffet dinner was delicious and varied, and satisfying enough. I prefer the atmosphere of a Western hotel, but the impression I got this time was good, so I wanted to stay at other Hoshino resort hotels.

This hotel is the highlight of our trip

There's a free shuttle bus to/from the hotel, but have to book in advance online.
We booked a room with in-room onsen. The view from the onsen was some yard, not the most appealing view. It was a few hundred Canadian dollars extra and in my opinion I don’t think it was worth it at all. I had stayed at other Hoshino hotels and other onsen hotels, which have much nicer views for much cheaper. The room itself is nice and comfy, but nothing special.
The dinner buffet was amazing! There were so many options to choose from. However, may be the dinner buffet was too good, the breakfast buffet seemed less exciting for us.
There is a charge for the evening show. It’s often fully booked so I recommend to book right after you make your room reservation. It’s an hour long and we think it was worth it as we enjoyed it very much. You can take photos with the performers afterwards too. There were other games and activities available for charge, we didn’t try those.
There were other free activities. We stayed during Halloween, and the staff taught us to say "Trick or Treat" in Japanese, we get a free gift after we say it successfully. There were also some fun photo props for Halloween.
The outdoor garden is huge like a real park. It has nice landscape and a free foot onsen. They even provide clean towels there, which is a nice touch.
All the staff always have a smile on their face and we feel we're warmly welcomed.

Lots of stuff.

From arrival to return, the staff were very responsive and I felt comfortable.
There are many local ingredients in the meal, too, with large scallops, garlic tempura and a live kitchen, but you can get it quickly towards the end of the hour.
It was delicious, including in the morning. Rice is also lustrous
I don’t want to go into the details because I want people to experience it, but there were paid festivals and participatory types that made people want to go and see the Nebuta Festival, and the content was more than the price. I booked it at the same time as the accommodation reservation.
The festival mood is full of Nebuta everywhere in the building
The bath was also very nice with a soft spring.
Unfortunately, I booked a room in the main building, but in the photo, there was a mountain outside the window, but in fact the building in the east wing was probably not being used in front of me, and there was a broken street and all that.
I booked it pretty early but didn't expect this view.
I don't think I ^chose that writing the vista.
I felt so deceived by the picture of the reservation room that I actually got a perfect star score, but I reduced it by two.
Activities (fees apply) and facility exploration are busy in two days and one night, so it might be good to stay consecutively.

The open-air bath was amazing! The hot springs are also soft.

We stayed overnight during Golden Week.
It was 35,000 yen for two meals per night.
I decided to stay this time because I wanted to watch YouTube and stay.
We arrived before 3pm and they took care of us.
Check-in was explained in dialect and we could enjoy check-in.
I was looking forward to the apple juice from the faucet, so it was good to be the first to drink it.
Naturally, the building and rooms are fine.
The hot springs were so soft and the open-air bath had a big pond, which I thought was amazing!
I'm thrilled.
Dinner buffets are delicious, but the ingredients aren't so gorgeous.
There are scallops and eel skewers, which are delicious, but I can't eat many.
But I thought it was good to stay once.

The smell of my room...

Front desk → I was taken care of. We arrived around 16:00, and the pony greeted us and was cute,!
There were many visitors from overseas. There were only overseas customers at the reception.
Room → Stayed in a guest room with a semi-open-air bath in Ogurami. To be honest, this is the musty smell the moment I opened the door.
Plus, the lights in my room are dim, so I guess I'm a love ho. That's what I thought.
The room itself is very large, there's a dig and there's a semi-open-air bath, so I can understand why it was so expensive, but I wonder if I can somehow get rid of the musty smell.
Also, there is no washing place in the semi-open-air bath.
There is a shower room about 1 tatami mat in the straight after the half open-air bath, so it is there to wash.
I thought it would be too small to have children.
And that shower room smells again, . . .
Smells of ammonia on the nails. I wonder if there's a rough side to it someday.
Even though this inn was the main destination for my trip to Aomori, the cleanliness of my room was one of the worst I have ever experienced.
Is the rest of the room okay?
Meals → delicious, but surprisingly few side dishes. The apple curry that we served in the morning had apples crunchy and that!? So it was. I thought it might be a paste or a hidden flavor.
Activities→This was a lot of fun! Though I've only been able to borrow a goldfish wind chime and experience apple juice.
There were goldfish Nebuta everywhere, they looked so cute!!!
There were horses and ponies on the grounds outside, and we could touch each other slowly. I'm happy you took a picture with the horse.
Overall, I thought that families with children and international visitors could enjoy it.
It might not be right for people like us who just want to relax and enjoy ourselves.
I want you to try harder than anything to keep your room clean!!
