Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff.
Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine.
I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

The hotel’s location is wonderful, surrounded by nature in a peaceful and unspoiled area. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.
However, on the evening of our stay, there was an event taking place in the restaurant area, and the noise from the guests continued until quite late, reaching our room. In such a calm and tranquil setting, I believe situations like this should be managed more carefully to preserve the peaceful atmosphere that guests expect.
Additionally, having air conditioning in the rooms would make the stay even more comfortable, especially during warmer periods.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to return in the future.

2 star experience at 4 star prices
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a hotel combines luxury prices with campground-quality amenities, this is your place.
The breakfast buffet was a daily exercise in disappointment. The eggs had the texture of wet sponges, the coffee machine seemed to be fighting for its life, and requesting a cappuccino was apparently treated like asking staff to hand-grind beans on an Italian mountainside.
The room itself came with a mystery-feature toilet: would it flush today or begin negotiations first? Every visit to the bathroom felt like a gamble. The shower pressure was equally thrilling — somewhere between “light drizzle” and “sad garden hose.”
And while the hotel advertises proximity to the city, bring snacks and emotional support because you are absolutely not close to anything.
Overall, this hotel confidently charges four-star prices while delivering a very committed two-star experience at best.

Great
We stayed for 1 night at this Hotel in July, they just painted our room, and it was smelling of fresh paint. There wasn’t A/C and we asked to be moved to another room. They were kind to offer a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience caused and we appreciated it

Nice experience. I'd be happy to come back.
Very nice, quiet location. Terrace restaurant with direct view of the Rhine (due to lack of reservation we could not eat there unfortunately). Plenty of free parking. Several chargeable electric charging stations. Well equipped, comfortable room (in our case fully handicapped accessible).
