Incredible views, kind people!

We LOVED our stay here! The room was comfortable and the view from the room was breathtaking. We stayed for three nights and ate a hotpot dinner in their restaurant every night which was delicious. Everyone working at the hotel was so friendly, and we appreciated their help booking us a taxi when we needed it. Additionally, the tea from their tea farm and sweet treats they left in our room daily were yummy. This was the perfect home base for the Alishan region and we would definitely stay again.
Note - this hotel is about a 50 minute drive from Alishan Park so if you want to spend more than one day in the park or catch the sunrise up there you might want to stay in the park. However we enjoyed the sunrise from the hotel’s sun deck, which was good for us!

A really magical escape to the countryside

Sunsweet House exceeded all our expectations.
Location is STUNNING! Views onto the tea farms at sunrise are breathtaking. Photos do it no justice.
Short walking distance to Eryanping Trail or Tea & Mist Trails. Bus stop a short walk away linking Alishan, Fenqihu or Chiayi. Plenty of local tea farms and restaurants within walking distance. A truly hidden gem of an area: so underrated.
Rooms comfortable and clean with basic amenities and no noise pollution. Don't come to the region expecting a 5* luxurious hotels: most places in Alishan and surrounding areas are homestays or B&Bs. Embrace the local vibes which are so warm. The owners are very friendly and their daughter speaks fluent English which is highly appreciated for foreigners.
Food was incredible. Breakfast buffet had a huge range including authentic Taiwanese dishes and daily rotating options. The optional dinner add-on of hotpot was great value and delicious. Recommend trying the hotpot at least one night.
We loved the experience. Felt so authentic, warm and a true escape from the busy city life to the countryside.

The room was clean and comfortable. Right outside is the balcony to watch sunrise and sunset. Hotpot dinner was great (at additional cost) and the breakfast buffet was so good! Had a great stay overall and highly recommend

The beautiful scenic mountains & serenity make the long drive fm Taipei worthwhile. Our room has an open view of the padi field & mountains. Air so fresh & totally chilled out. The balcony is so cozy we had tea & snack enjoying the view.
Hotpot dinner is excellent veg r fresh. Breakfast has a good variety. Ambience is exceptional, Great place. Highly Recommended 👍

Located near the Eryanping trail, the place is really very picturesque. The room was very clean and relatively well maintained. The view from the room was superb. Breakfast is served in another building and the food is the same everyday. Only takes payment by cash so watch out for this. We didn’t try the dinner so we can’t speak about that. Very satisfied overall with the stay here.
