When you travel a lot, it is nice to feel like you're coming home.

We had two nights here in a series of four nights on tour through this area of Germany. This was a lovely way to start. Our hostess was friendly and kind, our room was spacious, and the breakfast was great. I had a little throat issue on the second morning, and she made me some ginger tea without my even needing to ask. You'll never get that from the bigger hotels.
Our only issue with the place was that the beds were a little soft and we tend to like a firmer mattress. That said, the linens were nice, bathroom was new, and the towels were ok.
We'd stay here again without hesitation.

Room for improvement

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel, which was closest to our location. The bathroom was relatively newly renovated and modern, the room was large but dark, especially the closet nook was poorly lit, as was the entire room. There was a slightly musty smell, and the pillows were unfortunately of poor quality, too thin. Breakfast was okay, but unfortunately there was no second egg after the first one was cooked too soft to eat ("there is only one egg per guest"). More could be done with everything.

Great little hotel

I only had the opportunity to stay for 1 night, but it was very comfortable. I was travelling alone, so I booked a budget single room. It was a small room, but I expected that because the size was listed on the website. Nonetheless, it had a comfortable bed, and a clean ensuite bathroom. When I checked in, I was greeted by the owner and her very friendly dogs. The hotel has a few reserved parking spaces, but I also found on-street parking very easily. The price was a great value.

Outstanding Boutique Hotel

Charming hotel in a lovely residential area. A short distance to center city and the university. The rooms are well appointed and every detail is carefully conceived and executed. The owner is warm, personable, and speaks English flawlessly. A thoroughly enjoyable five nights.

A nice and pleasant small hotel with a lot of warmness and excellent price quality combination

This is a nice small family run hotel which is very close to a bed & breakfast. It is conveniently located just off the town center and not fat from the railway station, it is a good base for moving around the region. The infrastructure and the rooms are basic but very tidy and efficient. Beds are comfortable and rooms very silent. Comfort and services are in line with a hotel of this category. The hotel is closed in the early afternoon, but guests are given independent keys to access it. There are however a few pluses that are worth being mentioned. One of those is the breakfast served in a cosy and airy breakfast room with a relatively wide choice of food. However the most remarkable feature is the incredible kindness, warmness and care of the lady that owns and run the place. She makes the difference in your stay, whether you are there either for business or tourism. She is keen to give advice on destinations, connections and assist her guest in all the possible ways. I was travelling with my family for tourism and she was sensationally helpful with us. Excellent price-quality combination. That makes for a well-deserved “very good” rating.
