Would love to come back!!!

We were guests at the Altes Zollhaus Lübeck last weekend and we were very satisfied. Our room was well-equipped and clean. The property with its terrace and beer garden invites you to relax. The staff, as well as Mr. H., were very personable and helpful, friendly and funny. Unfortunately, it was very warm that weekend, so we didn't look at the city ourselves, also thanks to the numerous construction sites. But it was sooooo nice at the Zollhaus that we will come back again next year. We can only recommend it. Absolutely top

Christmas marked weeken in lübeck

We took this hotel since it was the last one available with a short notice. When we arrived in the evening the hotel has gotten a Water fragture in our room and we had to sleep in a private cosy romm not far away from the hotel. The hotel did everything to help us in the situation!
It´s not a fancy exclusive hotel more like B&B but okay!

QUiet, large rooms, friendly owner/staff, pet-friendly

This small hotel is located about 5-8 minutes drive from the center of Lübeck. We stayed twice, accompanied by our cat... the owner has a dog (or two), and kindly kept them out of sight while we transferred our cat to our room, and when we walked him.
The rooms we had were larger than many, had fridge, coffe maker, sink, and enough electrical outlets for the computer/mobile phone user ! The free WiFi did not work well with my mobile phone (but OK with laptop) in our room, furthest from the hotel's PC, but the owner has installed an extender, which should improve the signal.
Bathroom was large and comfortable.
Although close to a road, the rooms are practically silent, beds comfortable.
Breakfast choice was reasonable, including boiled eggs, cereals, et al, and service good.
There is a small 'courtyard', where one can enjoy a beer or wine on a pleasant evening.... the owner personally brought us cushions to make the seats more comfortable.
We stayed here on both legs of our two-week trip, did not feel a need to find another hotel on the return trip :-)
One other review mentioned 'cash only', but EU Bank Cards are also fine, just no credit cards.
