Lovely location

Location was excellent a good sized clean room. Breakfast was ample albeit continental only. Host was very accommodating. Managed to park on road directly outside but not all Managed this but only short walk to parking. Good value for price paid

Disaster

Booked to stay a couple of nights. We were advised that if no one at the B&B then the key would be in a key safe.
On arrival we checked the key safe but no key! We then rang the number provided and someone eventually turned up on a bike. No introductions or explanation and then it appeared that someone else was in our room. The worrying thing was that the owner did not seem to know who was in the room, staying at their B&B!
The owner was unable to resolve it or perhaps unwilling to challenge who ever was in our room which I found unacceptable. Clearly there was no room for us. Eventually a room at another B&B was offered but this was not acceptable.
We then had to source another room at short notice and were lucky that a new hotel opened only that week and had a room. The rest of Dingle appeared to be booked out!
In summary, I expect to be greeted at a B&B, not left with a key safe. The B&B appeared not to be regularly occupied by the owner but only serviced when necessary. Having travelled a long distance this was the last thing I expected or needed.
I would not recommend the Atlantic Lodge - clearly badly run and unreliable. Avoid at all costs. There is plenty of choice in Dingle.

Okay

Nobody answered the doorbell when we arrived but luckily we had a cell phone to call the number as directed by the note left on the door.
Room was clean and basic. Toilet smelled a bit. No hotel parking but we were able to find street parking right outside.
Did not have a chance to have breakfast because breakfast starts too late. At other B&Bs we stayed at for the same trip, the hosts ask you what time you'd like to have breakfast. Overall a bit expensive for what you get but it's Dingle.

Dingle Atlantic Lodge

The location isjust ideal. The breakfast was tasty fresh and varied. The room was clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast . It is very close to many shops pubs and the port area.

Why the bad reviews?

We were reluctant to go here because of some reviews, may I say we were more then happy with this stay, room was clean and not run down. I had the best breakfast I’ve had all holiday, get the pancakes!! The ladies working in the morning were very friendly!
