Not recommended

I see only one excellent review..... what I can say is that it is the worst hotel we have found ourselves in Iceland.Small room with 2 opposite beds, Ikea bedside tables one of which is not in good condition, carpet broken and in a missing point, electrical outlet with slipper extension, bathroom with curtain shower that, if pulled, invades almost the entire bathroom. There is no breakfast and to get there from Akureyri it takes more than 50 km with a 3 km tunnel in which there is only one car and those coming from the south must give priority using pitches present occasionally.

This is a unique property. The full kitchen is available for travelers to use to cook their dinner. If we had known, we would have brought some food to cook. Rooms were nice but there is a flight of stairs for all rooms. Keep that in mind. Nice laundry facilities which we made use of. Nice common sitting areas where we chatted with other travelers. It really is in the middle of nowhere but definitely a place to consider staying at. The man at check it was very helpful.

Fantastic stay

It was an incredible experience. You must not be fooled by the appearance! Because the rooms are excellent. Not only is it clean but the beds are also very comfortable and there is enough space to store the suitcases! In the kitchen you can prepare your own breakfast and treat yourself to a free coffee at the coffee machine. If you are in the area, the hotel is a must!
