We chose this hotel in the village of Naddi just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of McCleod Ganj where the Dalai Lama Temple is. It was a great move as the traffic jams in town were crazy! The hotel was very welcoming and the owner and staff were incredibly helpful & kind. They gave us tips on local sights (waterfall, river and sunset and view point) scooty hire. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we ordered arrived promptly. The room was cute and quaintly decorated. The colours and furnishings were all very random which added to the charm. The balcony overlooked a farm and rice paddies and faces the snowy peaks of the Himalaya! Even in the heat of May, there was snow to see!! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a beer watching the mountains and women in colourful sarees picking rice and chatting and laughing together. While alcohol isn't available, there is a beer and wine shop a short walk down the road, which we took advantage of! The food was delicious and made to order (breakfast included ) The dining room staff were so friendly! We also had in room dining, there is a table and chairs in the room and also on the balcony so eating in was easy. The bathroom was functional with a western toilet, sink, shower and large bucket and jug for Indian shower which as an Australian I learnt to enjoy more than the standard shower!. Plenty of hot water!
We thoroughly loved the Snow rest. We really felt like they cared about us 💙💙

WORST HOTEL (SCAMMERS)

One of the worst hotel in Whole Macleodganj! (SCAMED ME)
We stayed there in December 2025 and I'm writing this review on March 2026,
Firstly location of the hotel is so odd after so steep slope and almost impossible to go there by walking with bags and also they dont provide any type of services to reach there, then after going there there room are also not good enough nor the view, and also all the places to visit in Macleodganj are almost 5-6 far from there
And also there is no chance you can roam around city in night after taking stay there
And also they scamed there they charged me 50% money advance and 50% after I reached there and baaton baaton me inhhone mujse 3750 jyada charge kr liye nd jese hi muje yaad aaya mne extra pay kr diye I asked them for refund they said kr denge and daily said kr denge untill I left Macleodganj and after I came back jbtk mera refund nhi aaya tha and then, I tried to call they just stopped picking up my phone calls and also when I call from other numbers they stopped when I tell them who im nd just cut the call and when I called them today on 22 nd march 2026 after more then 3 months of that stay the representative just said " jo krna hai krlo case krna hai case krlo hum kuch nhi krnge or aaj ke baad yha call mt kr dena" and when I called them back they said me directly "shrm nhi aati kya tuje baar baar call kr rha hai" you guys tell shrm kisko aani chaiye !! And also I mailed them 2 times about this they just said we will still nothing changed,
I request you all not to book this stay this will ruin your memories regarding your trip nothing else.

Overall experience was good. Rooms are clean and fresh. Service is quick. Would recommend this place for families.

We stayed there for 3 nights in the hotel. The room and the bathroom were very neat and clean with 24hrs running hot water.
The food was very good with proper quality and quantity. The hotel is the best in Dharamsala

Room balcony view is just amazing

The room had a nice view. We stayed in Deluxe Room 3 nights. Staff were helpful, arrangement of tea coffee at room, complementary mineral water was supplied.. Location of the Hotel is good and view from the deluxe room good The room service was good.
