Mesmerising location & property

I am quite surprised that this hidden gem of a property is not reviewed by anyone here. Aranya Vilas is a very cute homestay cum B&B located away from the highway and maddening crowds of Shimla (approx 15 kms before Shimla). The moment you enter the place it gives you a very warm homely vibe as right from check-in to room service is very prompt. The owner of the property Ms. Manjusha herself meets the guests to add that personalised touch and makes sure that all relevant guest needs are taken care of during the stay. The caretaker Mr. Joginder was also always on his toes to cater to our needs and serve us. We also had the opportunity to meet the Chef who is very polite and humble and makes sure that food is served customised to your palette. There are trails/treks nearby if you want to go like Taradevi waterfall. Although, there’s one thing I would like them to improve on is the variety of food items on the menu and a tandoor! However, overall it’s value for money and a great getaway destination from your routine life to unwind in a serene location. It’s just 2.5 hours drive from Chandigarh. I wish them good luck !

Awful Stay!!! Not recommended. Don’t spoil your holidays.

Where do I start! This property is confusing. While the property is beautiful and the food is good, the service is awful . Everytime I would go to my room and look at the view from my balcony, I would tend to be happy and cheerful. But the minute you had to go to their restaurant at the terrace, the experience would turn out into a nightmare.
1. There is no room service.
2. There is no cleaning staff.
3. The only guy Mukesh who tries to do everything by himself is rude and has no sense of hospitality or courteousness. All he cares about is money The minute you ask him to do something, he would say no or make an excuse.
Honestly if the food wasn’t good we would have left after the first night itself. All in all it was a pretty bad experience.

Guest already booked a discounted package and on top of that asked for further discount and when we were not able to offer as it was a very genuine tariff given so he thought of putting negative review
But it really won't affect our business as we our giving best of services at genuine price
