Best location just outside the hustle and bustle, yet right in the middle!! TOP!!

The rooms are simply and functionally furnished and have their own toilet/shower. For my stay it was just perfect to recover from the living days and recharge your batteries. Sona's excellent cuisine has contributed to hers. Price/Performance -> TOP!! By the way, you can learn her cooking yourself at a cooking class with her =) (highly recommended!!). The location of the guesthouse is ideal. Close to Assi Ghat, close to countless restaurants, food stalls, temples. Sona's family lives true hospitality. It touched me to be in contact with the whole family at this time. I felt very at home and welcome during the 9 days. My FIRST CHOICE when I come back!

Amazing cooking course

We did a a cooking course with Sona and it was brilliant! She taught us how to make two of the most delicious curries we’ve ever eaten and the secret behind making a fabulous naan too. Sona was very welcoming, spoke brilliant English so all of the instructions were super clear and was overall incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do in Varanasi

Wonderful home stay and great cooking classes with Sona!

Great home stay and cooking class at Sona! You will immediately feel at home here and Sona will teach you authentic Indian cooking with her own spice mixes at a very reasonable price. We learned to make nan and chapati, palak paneer, chana masala, etc. The cooking class was so much fun that we booked another one the next day with other dishes. Highly recommended!

Cooking class and selvemade curries

Thank you Sona for the wonderful and friendly cooking lesson. We had a very nice time and lunch :) an know now the tricks how to make Chapati for our friends and to impress them once a time. Looking forward to tryout your homemade masala’s we’ve got from you :).

Best guesthouse in town!

Sona, her guesthouse and wonderful family have been the absolute highlight of my week stay in Varanasi. An ongoing source of joy, a deep well of information, a little Varanasi recommendation when required, the best chai masala in town, and an ever-present smile, it’s a joy to be with her.
Sitting still is not part of Sona’s life, she’s always arranging things for her guests, always making their stays even better, or she’s in the kitchen doing her magic. Make sure to eat from the guesthouse’s menu as often as you can, the dishes are delicious and heartwarming. The food is one of the aspects that made me feel home here.
The room had all amenities I could wish for, there are many shops and eateries nearby and Assi ghat, the usual southern starting point to explore the river and its ghats, is not even a 10-minutes walk from the guesthouse.
Should I return to Varanasi one day, I can only wish Sona and her family have one of their rooms available. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. For now though, I cherish the tea spices Sona prepared for me as a reminder of her hospitality. Above and beyond! Helpful, warm, attentive, capable and service-minded.
