Fine overnight stay

Slept here for 1 night because we are passing through Croatia. A fine room with balcony and very nice view of the mountains, Pfarrerfen and the A10. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is fine, something for everyone. Plenty to do nearby such as a nice walk or a quick walk to the beautiful ice cave.

Excellent

Typical, homely Gasthaus with basic clean rooms. We read about it being by the road but the road isn't a main one and it's not a problem. The views from the rooms on the front of the house, road side, are stunning of huge mountains. At back is a lovely garden which was closed in April but would be lovely in summer. Less impressive views from back.
The breakfast on Easter Sun was hearty with painted eggs and a cake in shape of a lamb. They no longer do evening meals but they recommended an excellent restaurant over the river, Geschwandter's i think which was not touristy and v friendly with great food.
If arriving before 3, you have to call owner but he was very prompt and helpful. We parked right by castle which was well worth a visit and also visited a scene from Sound of Music.

Nice stay, friendly staff

We stayed for one night only which was good since we had the room facing to the street with noisy and intense traffic.
The room was appropriate the bathroom was little bit old fashioned also with soap and shower gel in small plastic bags.
The breakfast was nice and comprehensive and the friendly staff was always close by.

Nice hotel, good food but on the main road

A great stop for visiting Werfen with its impressive castle and Sound of Music trail. Ask for a room at the back if you're a light sleeper as the main road is very busy. Bedrooms are smart and simple, food is plentiful and delicious, staff very friendly. Good value for money all round

Nice hotel

Stayed here when we were on biking holiday and passing through werfen.
Staff were accomodating even putting our bike in their garage. Our room was lovely, had a balcony where we could sit out and smoke.
Stayed here for dinner which was lovely and had drinks here, too. Enjoyed the austrian music being played(there was a bday party going on in the other side of restaurant)
