Pleasant discovery in the city center of Spa

Perfect and delicious menu. A sequence of flavors from the amuse-bouche to dessert. Very beautiful presentation and very friendly table service. Just a quick note, there is a handrail missing on the steps leading to the restaurant.

Total lack of Service & Help dangerous entry to Hotel

We booked 4 rooms arrived at the Hotel and it looked like it had closed down . Front door was locked and the only entrance around the back was up some steel fire escape steps
We could not get into our rooms the telephone number on the wall did not get answered
After a bit of detective work we found out this hotel was owned by the neighbouring Van de Valk hotel
We went to there reception they could not find our bookings , even I showed them the confirmation email and proof of payment from my bank
After 2 hours in reception we where told we would have to go to another hotel which was a 40 minute drive away because of roadworks
We arrived there at nearly 10pm tired and frustrated
The following evening we had to go back to Spa to the Van de Valk they now had keys for the property
The only way into the Hotel was through the rear fire escape steps!
The rooms where cold and damp out of the 4 rooms only one had working radiator
One of our party is in his seventies and was very difficult for him with the steps , these where covered with wet leaves
We paid £1570 for 3 nights absolutely shocking service

Charming and quiet step

We stayed one night on our Loire bike route. The hotel is charming with very welcoming staff. The pool is perfect after a day of cycling, the room very comfortable and well equipped. We did not try the jars offered for dinner but we took advantage of the Shade Bar Service on the terrace. The environment is very quiet and breakfast is varied. Perfect stop near the beautiful town of Beaugency.

We won’t come back ⛔️

We went there in 2022, today it was a disaster.
The staff is not qualified. With the aperitif no olives as on other tables.
The mouthing comes after we finish the aperitif and still no wine.
The waiters passed and passed without ridding the aperitif.We had to ask.
And no the restaurant was not crowded
The dough of the lobster ravioli was not cooked.
A positive the dish which was delicious.
We are told 4 times that dessert arrives not complicated yet a cheese platter and melting already ordered with the menu
pairing menu and wine
The cheese was served without any indication of the wine.
After request, the waiter told us that it was a Syrah except that it is a grape variety!!!
Coffee arrives without a cup or you would have to bring two trays. Besides, the coffees were warm.
Cuteness comes at the same time as the check. Excuse me from one of the partners we are only open for 3 weeks

Too bad..

Pension very charming and very welcoming staff, with one exception: the boss. A real angry and rude character, who allowed himself to shout at us as soon as we arrived for a simple misunderstanding about a cake. In the end, we cancelled our Restaurant Reservation that same evening. Too bad, because the Pension’s setting and staff are also very pleasant.
