Terrible Experience— Dirty Room, Rude Staff & Still No Refund After 3 Weeks
When we were finally given a room, it was in an unacceptable condition there were wet toilet papers in the bathroom and empty chip packets in the drawers. We immediately went back to request a different room, but instead of helping us, they told us to wait again. At that point, we asked for a refund. We were told it would be processed within a week.
It has now been 3 weeks. I have not received any refund, and I’ve sent multiple emails and made many phone calls no one replies, and no one answers the phone. I had already fully paid for the room, and being ignored like this feels extremely unprofessional.
To make matters worse, during our wait, a security guard approached us and swore at us, demanding that we move our car even though it was not blocking anything. That behaviour was completely uncalled for and very disrespectful.
This entire experience has been frustrating from the long wait, dirty room, rude staff, false promises, and now being left without my refund for weeks. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. I hope management finally responds and honours the refund they promised.

Will never stay here again! Room 304 check for bed bugs as we were bitten
We weren’t after anything fancy. We had travelled to Fiji to visit family so basically just needed a basic but clean safe place to sleep and shower and leave our luggage etc as we knew we would hardly be there.
Thank goodness we weren’t there much because it was terrible.
Where to start I don’t even know!
We arrived and were given only 1 key and arrived to no toilet paper.
We had no phone in our room to call reception so every time we had a problem we had to walk to reception so that was often.
Our booking was for 4 people yet we were only provided 2 towels not 4. When questioned their answer was that they have a 2 towel per room policy. I asked why when I have paid for 4 people and they said they had a towel shortage. The hotel was not anywhere near close to capacity either, it was very quiet!
They cleaned our rooms 3 times out of the 11 days we were there and that was only after I requested it be done. The first clean was not done until a few days after we arrived and i wouldn't call it a clean, it was just changing the bed sheets. Not once in those 11 days did they clean or wipe down benches or the bathroom. The shower leaked so our bathroom floor was constantly wet and had a damp mouldy smell as well as grout in the shower. The day we arrived they provided the small bottles of toiletries but never replaced them and the times I went and asked for some they would say we have none or hand me 1 tiny shampoo.
The 3 times they serviced our room they left the dirty towels so when I asked reception about fresh towels I had to go and get the dirty ones and bring them to them.
Bins never emptied we emptied them daily ourselves.
The rooms were old and outdated and dirty. Torn bedding and marks on sheets and to top it off me and my son were bitten badly by bed bugs. I didn’t realise they were bed bugs bites until i got home and did some googling and the description and photos matched bed big bites and my doctor at home confirmed they were bed big bites. I emailed resort and no response. The itch was bad and I couldn’t help but scratch and scratch to the point of bleeding. I will probably get some scars from it.
When we booked through Agoda the advertisement said free wifi- nope there wasn’t even wifi you could pay for!
It also said full kitchen but only thing we had was a small smelly bar fridge and a microwave.
It seems like management are trying to cut costs where ever they can.
Most of the staff ignored you as you walked past reception as they were too busy playing on their phones and didn’t even lift their head up to smile or say Bula. There was one lady who was lovely but that was about it.
Walls were paper thin you could hear all the people next door.
One afternoon I went to get in the shower as we were going to a party and there was no water. I had to wait half an hour before they resolved the issue.
Also they had no laundry anywhere in hotel so were were not able to wash at all.
I felt unsafe as the back door was not secure, someone could easily kick door down as basically the only thing holding it closed was the chain. One night about 2 am we had random knock at the door. I was awake and yelled out who is there and no answer.
No safe either to lock things away in.
I loved the wailoaloa area but the hotel was terrible especially for the price we paid.
