Onl thing kind of weird for such an upscale place is you have to pay extra for your kids to use floaties and tubes at the pool though.
Unbeatable value for scale of “room” (it’s a whole house!) and view.

Needs a lot of work, especially on management
While for the most part the houses (the resort only has villas) are okay, the resort completely fails at customer relations. This place is not adapted to international guests at all, starting with poor Wnglish of front desk staff.
We came by taxi and checked in. The front desk refused to help us get to the villa despite having golf carts and cars, when it was alsolutely pouring outside. We convinced our cab to take us, but this was a bad first impression.
When we arrived at the house nothing was ready - no water in the pool, no welcome gift, no light on. In a house that can hold 9 people, there were 3 plates, no forks, knives or glasses. We had to request all of it. There is also only one pot and one pan. Ridiculous for a place that wants (and basically forces) to allow you to cook by yourself.
The restaurant is a joke. You have to reserve breakfast the day before and can only choose from one of five sets - almost all of it spicy Korean soups, totally unsuitable for kids that are not Korean. No vegetables, no egg dishes. And each set costs over 30thousand krw. The restaurant is also closed for dinner - considering the resort is half an hour drive from the closest town, means that you either need to go hungry or go to the city for dinner. Inconvienent (esp with kids) either way. For lunch they again offer a very limited number of spicy, Korean dishes, priced at 70 thousand each.
We stayed a week and we never had anyone come to clean the floors, wipe down counters. The ladies, who were very nice, only took out garbage, changed towels and brought water. „Deep cleaning” (basically equal to regular housekeeping in other hotels) has to be reserved and can only be done once. If we have no such deep cleaning, then we should get 80000 krw in restaurant credit. And the restaurant is not usable.
We could also theoretically spend that credit on mini bar - which contains only wine (overpriced) and some beef jerky (horribly overpriced - 6x normal price).
Front desk and customer relations are very bad. First day we asked for non-feather pillows and bedding. Over the week we never heard back. When we emailed about booking a tour we just got a link to getyourguide. At no point did anyone ever called to check how our stay was going. Level of English is very poor and we often had to use our phones to translate things that were above getting a taxi.
The general quality of the house is okay, even if it is sparse. No art (in a place called art villas), no flowers, no painings or traditional Korean elements are present, which is a pity, because it makes the place look like a generic hotel. But mould in the toilet and rust on various elements of the house, broken terace doors, loose floor tiles are defiiitely not acceptable if you are claiming anything above 3 stars. Pool deck stains clothes, there are no pool towels provided for the private villa pool.
Weird space planning - huge empty spaces and tiny bathrooms with absolutely no storage place (well - we were able to put our toothbrushes on the small sink, but that’s about it, the rest had to be kept in the room, not in the bathroom).
Villa pool was not cleaned even once. As it’s outside and unprotected, after the first night it was full of leaves and bugs. We could either clean this with a soup spoon or give up on using the private pool.
The general pool is also a joke. For a resort that can host over 200 people there are two tables and 6 loungers. And the pool is maybe 20meters long and 10meters wide. How is that enough for such a number of guests?
Of course, the details is what matters: a 5 star resort should prepare some, any kind of welcome for guests. Even if it’s just a small bowl of local fruit (tangerines is what Jeju is famous for and they are in season right now, so very cheap). There was also no tea in the house, the coffee machine was not working properly. The crew should also make sure there are enough dishes for guests, maybe tv channels that are not in Korean and appliance instructions in English.
Overall, while we liked that we could spend time together and had common areas we are unlikely to ever come back or recommend this place. Poor communication, poor adaptability to foreign guests, very poor customer management. Which is a pity because with a better management and some handy work in the houses this place could be great.
