Checking in was smooth, but our booked cabin had several issues. After unloading, I called the front desk for help with the non-functioning wifi. While waiting, we tried to prepare dinner but ran into several problems: the stovetop had no gas, the fridge didn’t seem to work, and we found two dead cockroaches in a tub with the stovetop lighter.
We chose this cabin for its kitchen, so we expected it to be clean and functional. I adjusted the fridge to a higher setting, thinking it was in defrost mode, but the temperature remained the same. Ultimately, we decided to check out the same day. We already waited a while for the wifi and did not want to wait any longer for someone to fix the other appliances after driving for so long. Only then, when we left, did the fridge come on.

Cute family hotel in a spectaular location.
The hotels in Bluff are limited so we chose La Posada Pintada. The room is quite clean with painted floors and no carpets, It is large with a lot of atmosphere with the brightly colored walls, the mexican tiles, the metal framed mexican mirror, and the brightly colored sink in the bathroom. There is a range of pillows so there is one that will suit your well.
We wished to be in this central area and this hotel is well positioned for exploring the area. Being down in the valley, the scenery around the hotel is beautiful.
Unlike most secondary motels, it does have a microwave, fridge, and coffee pot. There is a small TV in the room, but we couldn't find the controls, but we had other things to do anyway.
We were in a standard room with two queen beds and a comfortable couch, but the room lacked a table which we really missed since we typically use the computers for editing photos when we come in for the evening. We also found the lack of outlets frustrating since both my husband and I require Oxygen at night, but there is only one outlet by the bed.
The owner (or manager) was quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast is all prepared to order and since the dining area is small, you need to schedule your breakfast time the evening before.

This was a lovely homely and unique place. We loved the attention to detail and the decor. The breakfast was really lovely. One of our party is vegan and she felt really included with things made specially for her. Oat milk was also provided. Would definitely return and would definitely recommend!

Not recommended if not able to climb the stairs
Stayed here while traveling to monument valley. Location is not great with an hour away from there. Town was very small. Hotel had one guy at front desk which was very nice. You had to carry luggage’s upstairs through small staircase which could be an issue if not able to ambulate well. Ice machine in the room was so loud and making noise all night long. Fridge was not clean properly, I found partial eaten ice cream carton left in there.
WiFi was slow and only be able to be used limited devices.
Breaking was delicious and homemade. Unfortunately the option that day which was quiche was not our favorite. Homemade Yogurt was great. The best part was watching hummingbirds near breakfast area.
