Relaxing

This is a super clean, charming retro motel with the classic small-town feel. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay with character and old-school charm, this motel is hard to beat. We'd gladly stay there again.

Would Recomend

Owners are real Friendly Dan & Rose, Very nice place to stay. We had the to bedroom room and it was nice the only thing i recommend to the owners is maybe putting a second tv in the second bedroom. Our stay was awesome and the motel was very clean. It is an older motel so a little dated on its interior but wont stop us from staying again in the future. Their Dog Rio was also very friendly. Dan and Rose you run a clean motel!!

DO NOT STAY HERE

Do not stay here! The managers are nasty and intrusive. We approached them because neither the cable or Wifi worked and they responded horribly, unhelpfully, and frankly rudely. Then they blamed us. Do not stay here

Love it. Chill, simple, just right.

Staying here right now with husband and dog. Husband has disabilities, easy to get in and move around for him. It's simple, nothing fancy, everything you need. We feel right at home. Owner just an ordinary "real" gal at check in. Northern MN friendly (that is; polite without being snoopy or fakey). Like that. Clear on her expectations, she's been doin' this a while! (don't leave and leave your dog in the room, no really don't do that. come on, she's had barking dogs in too hot rooms plenty of times, I feel her pain!) We will for sure come back. When asked his opinion, husband says "I like this place".

Very patient owners

This is a short tale of men going canoeing in the Boundary Waters and lovely motel owners with a great sense of humor. My husband was going canoeing -- alone or maybe with another guy. I made a reservation for him for the night before the canoe trip and the night after. Pretty soon another guy committed to the trip. I told them there would be two guys in the room. Next two more decide to go along. The other fellow decided to get a larger room. Cancel reservation 1 and enter reservation 2. Next they decided to not stay the night after their trip but to hit the road immediately, Cancel half reservation 2. And they say that women change their minds frequently. Well, the owners were champs. They may have thought privately that these guys were nuts but they were perfectly charming. The motel was perfect for these fellows' stay. If and when my hubbie goes again (he had a great time - the others not so much), he will stay here.
