Kachemak Cottage is perfect for a small group or family

We stayed in Kachemak Cottage and it was perfect lovely view great amenities perfect location with lots of options for activities from fishing to bear viewing to horseback riding and a great coffee shop restaurant right across the street!

Perfect place, Right above the beach, Easy access to local attractions

I travel to Homer, AK occasionally for work and love staying at the Driftwood Inn. It reminds me of an old fashioned family run inn, with wonderful staff and service. The tiny fisherman's quarter rooms are perfect. The inn is on a cliff line right above the beach, so it has really easy access to the beach. The views are magnificent. You can see the beautiful ocean on the Kachemak Bay, snow covered mountains, a distant glacier, and volcano, eagles, and ravens. The inn is very close to tourist attractions, including the really nice visitor center, as well as the famous Homer Spit area. There's a lot of fantastic restaurants and cafe's really close, some walking distance. I've stayed at the Driftwood several times now and really love it. I love it so much, I took my family there recently and we had a wonderful time. Our daughters bunked in one of the tiny fisherman's quarter rooms, and they loved it. We rode horses on the beach right below the inn, and it was an incredible Alaska experience for our family, we will cherish always. The Homer Horse Adventures is on the beach right below the hotel, so within walking distance. We also spent a lot of time exploring the Homer Spit. Just a wonderful time. The Driftwood Inn was perfect and their staff are incredible, very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend the Driftwood Inn. I will be back again for sure.

This room was a pleasant surprise! Very clean and nicely appointed. I couldn’t give it a five because of the way the ladders were made for the bunk beds they were to straight instead of leaning in slightly which made it hard to get in and out of the bed. We had to take the mattress off the bunk bed and put it on the floor. I would stay there again thats for sure

We booked last minute and checked in super late. The front desk lady was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us to our room. She knew we were there to fish and offered to print our fishing license if we needed it before she left. The room looked exactly like the photos and the beds were comfy! I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Homer!

Great spot in Homer and a very accommodating staff! We really enjoyed our stay and the view was amazing! Great facility and people!
