The first room we were assigned was not good for us and we explained the situation to the front desk and they graciously moved us to another room which met our needs. The staff from the housekeeping to the lounge to the front desk were all super friendly and made us feel welcome at this property. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Poor Hotel Stay & Experience.

We stayed here for nine days while my husband was on a business trip, and the hotel was selected through his work. Our room cost $3,159.85, plus another $270 for parking ($30 per day), bringing the grand total to $3,429.85. At that price, we expected a much better experience.
The front and central courtyard areas are attractive and tropical, with plenty of palm trees and landscaping surrounding the pool and hot tub. Toward the back of the property, however, it becomes much more bare. The hotel has a gym and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, that was only good thing.
Our room was on the first floor toward the back of the hotel, it would have been nice to receive the room type we actually liked. I don’t think there is any. The room was cramped, and the table was very small for working or eating.
There were also several maintenance issues. Some of the plantation-style shutters were broken, the room phone did not work, and the vending machines were broken. The bathroom fixtures were outdated, and the shower had very poor water pressure. We had to use the stronger massage setting just to get enough water to shower comfortably. The pillows were also extremely soft and provided very little support.
On the positive side, the room was clean, there were plenty of clean towels, and we appreciated having a mini refrigerator. Complimentary coffee and tea were also provided, while bottled water was available for $2 each.
Another major issue is the $30-per-day parking fee. Over nine days, parking alone added $270 to the bill. When you’re already paying $3,159.85 for the room, bringing the total to $3,429.85, these additional costs are significant.
For nearly $3,430, we expected the property and room amenities to be better maintained. Between receiving the wrong room type, a broken room phone, broken shutters, broken vending machines, outdated bathroom fixtures, poor shower pressure, uncomfortable pillows, and expensive parking, there are several areas that need improvement—especially at this price point.

Room was suffocating at best because the AC was not working properly. On top of that, beds are not comfortable at all. Will not be staying here again.

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff was responsive to emails and face to face conversations.
Accommodation for our requests was met immediately and without hesitation. Will be staying here again.

Perfect location for visiting San Diego/La Jolla/UC San Diego area. Staff friendly and professional, rooms were great!
