Clean and pleasant room in friendly hotel

We travelled to this very remote place and found this neat and friendly managed hotel. The owners and all staff were very kind also the service provided was top. The lower restaurant served some of the best Cretan dishes and also there the service was top.

Great stay at Calypso.

Beautiful stay at Calypso. Well appointed room, simple but beautiful decoration, done to perfection (ceilings, coving, lamp shades etc). Loved having a glass of wine or beer in the balcony overlooking the sea after a day in the beach which is located just across it. The best food to be had in Agia Roumelli just downstairs in Calypso restaurant. Family owners are very friendly and look after their guests well.

Excellent stay at Calypso

What a lovely hotel and restaurant with wonderful hosts. We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. I’d definitely book here again. Our room was affordable, nicely updated, clean and comfortable. The sea-view balcony was a bonus. The hotel is steps from the beach.
We ate all our meals at the Calypso restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, with quick and friendly service. Highly recommended for a stay (or day trip) in Agia Roumeli!

Exceptional hospitality

Outstanding family-run hotel to stay after hiking Samaria Gorge or along the coast. The whole team provided everything we needed in the most beautiful setting, with spotless room. Delicious traditional Cretan food and even entertainment after supper by Antonis playing the Cretan Lyre to traditional Cretan songs. Wonderful!!
