Spili

The village of Spili was the best place to stay on our visit to Crete. Spili is comfortably cool in the summer. Mr. Stefani’s hospitality was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and cool. The outdoor space was exceptionally fine. I recommend staying here at any time of the year.

I am home again!

I have been going toSpili archontiko polymnia for five years now. This year I went twice. The first time I went with my daughter and her three children,a boy aged 3 years and the twins who were then 9 months old. We were there from the middle of June to the middle of July. The family run hotel was perfect for us. We were treated as family members and there was always someone available to play with, or take care of a child for a little while. The second time I was alone for the last two weeks in August. I had a most relaxing holiday all contributed to making me feel thoroughly welcome and at home.This is the feeling I have every time I go there. I am home again!

The best place ever

This is the best place I 've ever stayed! Excellent traditional rooms, excellent service, clean and luxury on a great price! I ll be back for sure!!!

polymnia is an old house which is totally renovated and has 3 rooms with one double bed each. we went to rethymnon for a wedding and we chose this hotel after the groom's suggestion. we stayed there - 8 friends of the couple: 2 couples and 4 singles - and we enjoyed every minute of it.
the decoration is very beautiful, it combines traditional and modern characteristics.
there is a kitchen and a big fridge, one of the bathrooms has a jacuzzi, and in the living room there is a fireplace which we used the 2 out of the 4 days we stayed there. there is air conditioning in all rooms, except the living room. for our 2 extra friends, 2 camp beds were added in the living room - that is another reason why we used the fireplace. :)
we met stefanis and marina who are the owners and they are really kind and helpful. they also own a cafeteria at the centre of the village and they were always willing to offer us a shot of raki (the traditional cretan drink) whenever we would pass by.
during our stay, there was the problem that there was not electricity for a few hours (2 out of the 4 days we spent there) but that was a general problem in the village. also, the street towards the villa is very thin so we preferred to park the car at a distance of 200 meters and walk. the street has a few ups and downs and it is not recommended for high heels.

Συνδιασμός παραδοσιακής και μοντέρνας αισθητικής που δένει απόλυτα με την τοποθεσία. Τα δωμάτια ολοκαίνουρια, ιδιαίτερα και με έμφαση στην καθαριότητα. Η θέα προς το πανέμορφο αυτό χωριουδάκι μαγευτική, να μην θες να ξεκουνήσεις. Ο Στέφανος ο ιδιοκτήτης με ζέση θα σε ενημερώσει για οτιδήποτε σε ενδιαφέρει σχετικά με τις εξορμήσεις σου καθώς οι επιλογές που έχεις είναι ουκ ολίγες!! Το Σπήλι αποτελεί την ιδανική τοποθεσία με άμεση πρόσβαση στις νότιες παραλίες του Ρεθύμνου (όποιος είναι οδηγός θα καταλάβει ) ! Έφυγα με την αίσθηση πως θα ξαναγυρίσω, Ευχαριστώ για όλα ❤
