Superb hotel, great location

This hotel exceeded all our expectations. To the welcoming and friendly staff on our arrival (we were able to put our cases in storage) and the hotel overall was brilliant. A spotlessly clean hotel with lifts to all floors (you had to scan your door fob to use the lift for security). We were on one of the top floors, 12. What a lovely room, an open shower with heated floor. Super comfy bed and pillows, slept like a log! Superb view from the hotel windows. All the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing, everything you could wish for, and more! So fresh and a good section for gluten free too.
The location of the hotel was next to the main transport, we used the light rail system, clean, efficient and on time! Thank you all for making our first visit to Norway an incredible one! I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

Dear kppixie,
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a wonderful and detailed review following your stay with us.
We are truly delighted to read that your first visit to Norway – and to Scandic Ørnen – exceeded your expectations. It is especially rewarding to hear your kind words about our welcoming team, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the comfort of your room. Knowing that you enjoyed the view from the 12th floor, the heated bathroom floor, and a great night’s sleep means a lot to us.
We are also pleased that our breakfast selection stood out to you, particularly the gluten-free options. Providing a fresh, varied, and inclusive breakfast is something we take great pride in. Your comments about our central location and easy access to public transport are equally appreciated, as convenience is key for many of our international guests.
Most of all, thank you for highlighting our staff’s friendliness and willingness to help – your feedback will be shared with the entire team as great motivation and recognition of their efforts.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and would be honored to welcome you back on your next visit to Bergen. Until then, thank you once again for choosing us and for sharing your experience with other travelers.
Warm regards,
Scandic Ørnen

The hotel has good amenities and friendly staff. The room was clean and well maintained. The only issue was that the layout of the bathroom and the bedroom made it not very comfortable.

Unfortunately, all the hotel fasilities are closed on mondays. The hotel is old and has a bad smell of sewage in the reception and hall way. Most of the personell was very friendly, but some of the evening personell were quite rude. We had to cancel our stay after one night, because the hotel did not have the standard that we expected. Very nice location though.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Bit of a walk to the ferry departure point. Staff friendly and everything clean.

First: The breakfast was very good. As for the room, was alright. The queen bed was two twins pushed together with a gap between. The shower water pressure was absolutely amazing and my wife loved the tub. Overall, for the money, this was a very good hotel and the staff was great.
