A soothing space

The building has a very elegant atmosphere. The furnishings are heavy and sophisticated, befitting a long-established establishment, and it is a relaxing inn.
It is very quiet, and you can spend time away from your daily routine.
The facilities are well-maintained, very clean, and the service is excellent and without waste. Mikimoto cosmetics were also provided as amenities.
There is nothing wasteful, and only the necessities are provided.
The food is also delicious and sumptuous. The clam miso soup for breakfast was delicious.
This is also a place you'll want to stop by when visiting Izumo.

A hotel where you can experience the culture of inns

This was the perfect lodging for a visit to Taisha Shrine. The outside looks like a traditional inn, but the inside has been beautifully renovated and is a wonderful facility. It is quite different from the usual establishments that have a grand exterior but the exact opposite inside. It is a facility that has evolved into a modern one while retaining the best parts of a Japanese inn, and you can feel the high level of management. The food was delicious, and there was a just-right-sized bath, so it was a very satisfying lodging. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Taisha Shrine. This is a lodging that I would also recommend to foreigners.

Good place to stay and have Japanese style stay

Calm and very relaxing atmosphere. Food also very delicate and Japanese style. And this place is owned by Famous Japanese Artists. You may encounter her album places.
It is very difficult to take a reservation but have a value to stay there.

happened to stay here but with full of hospitality

home of famous singer. food are so delicious. garden is excellent almost in front of Isumo Shrine. room is so clean and very traditional. Bath is so calm and relaxing. You can enjoy how delicious water is.

An excellent ryokan experience

My wife and I (from the U.S.A.) stayed at Takenoya for three nights recently while we were visiting the Izumo Shine and other sights in the area. The hotel was new and clean. The staff were friendly and professional. And the facilities were impeccable. The room (we stayed in a Japanese style room) was spaciouis and quiet. We used the public bath (even though there was a first-class bathroom in the room) quite frequntly because it was clean, well-equipped, and of top quality. We stayed at many different hotels during the trip, including one with a five star international chain, but Takenoya came on the top of the list. If you have a chance to visit Izumo, stay at Takenoya. It offers the world class facilities and services.
