We should stop using it.
When I arrived at 8pm, there was one staff member who was unfamiliar with the front desk, and there was a queue as it took more than five minutes per pair to check in.
When you check in, it says "we haven't finished cleaning"!!! We then waited until 21:30, but no room was available, so we used another hotel.
Five similar groups of customers were waiting in the lobby. Some of them had children with toddlers, and it seemed hard.
There were other people who didn't seem to have bedding when they entered the guest room, and I saw several people carrying shikifutons on their own.
It is thought to be a private accommodation facility called a hotel, and this is probably because there are so few employees.
You should definitely stop using it!

I don't recommend it.
The place is not worth using except for straw-style trays, and this time I would like to make it a different facility because it is better to be further away.

Nothing at the end of the world
There were big differences between the rooms, but the main problem was the bathroom. In many of the rooms there was no hot water or it came slowly. In the most beautiful room there was no shower and you had to seat on a small stool and wash yourself sitting, like in the Onsen, the Japanese spa.
We found many friendly bugs in the rooms.
In my room, the shower and the sink shared the same taps. (see pictures).
The main building has no elevator and the other building you have to climb some stairs to get to the elevator.
The breakfast was totally Japanese style, and our local neighbors enjoyed it, but it is not our taste.
The Onsen looks very simple.
The staff was wonderful and helped us with every request, but it can not come instead a normal standart of hotel.

おわら風の盆の間のみ営業しています
予約したのはツインのお部屋だったと思いますが、和洋室をご用意くださっていました。1年のほとんどを閉めているホテルなので、仕方ない部分もありますが、客室も大浴場もお湯が出なくて不便でしたし、湯船のお湯（温泉）の温度も低くてお風呂から出たら寒かったです。部屋のウォシュレットは壊れていて使えないし、冷蔵庫は霜がすごくて冷えないので夫が霜取りをしてようやく冷えるようになりました。
スタッフさんはプロというよう地元の方？という感じで、少ない人数で何から何までされていました。前夜祭への送迎は好きな時間にお願いできましたし、予約していたお弁当のキャンセルにも柔軟に対応してくださいましたので、サービスの印象としては悪くありません。
8月20日から30日の11日間の前夜祭の間は一人1泊素泊まりで1万円。9月1日からの3日間のお祭り本番は2名1室素泊まりで一人3万円！男女別の相部屋にすると多少料金が安くなりますが、それでも素泊まりで一人2万円です。
前夜祭中は夕食は予約すればお弁当（2500円）を広間で食べさせてくれますが、賞味期限の問題でお祭りの前に食べなければいけないそうです。私たちはお祭りの後で食べたかったので、車で5分ほどのコンビニで買って夕食にしました。前夜祭のお祭り会場近くに飲食店も多少ありますが、選べるほどのお店はありませんでした。朝食はサンドイッチと飲み物で500円でした。
八尾には宿泊施設が少ないので、本番中は上記のお値段でも満室になるようです。9月1日からの3日間は夕食3850円、朝食1650円（いずれも税別）でご用意いただけるようです。
